I owned one of these and can confirm they are a blast around town. In a fit of insanity, I rode almost 500 miles in one day,...in November on it. 45-55 mpg and it had a 4.5 gal tank if I remember correctly.
This bike has 4 cylinders 4 carbs and its 16v dohc. For a bike that was classed as more of a commuter/sit up style bike. It sounded and went like a 600. Such a unicorn bike these days.
The bandit is probably the nicest and definitely the fastest of the 3. Although it's hard to set up correct the carbs of the bandit. Also the bandit has a monoshock rear suspension which can easily be upgraded by a modern shock. With the others you only have limited expensive options to upgrade
Yes stock swingarm is easier to fit because it's wider. The one I have was a bit more tricky and I had to use the linkage from yzf750. But on the stock you will just use the original
It's not waterproof is the main reason, but I've developed an esp32 microcontroller to collect sensor data from the PLX, coolant temp and some other sensors that will be displayed at an Oled screen and to my mob through Bluetooth with the ability to log everything in a log file

is it just me or do these old inline 4 strokes sound better than modern super bikes?
Carburetors, dude. That's why.
Thats not just you bro

Old bikes always sound much better. Old bikes are the way to go. No modern technology although abs is nice to have
Some nice mods there
Epic sound
Good carb tuning
In the market for my first bike. Considering Bandit 400 along with CB400 and XJR400. Any recommendations?

Helo!Is compatibilitu fork of suzuki gsxr 600 k7 on bandit 400?
Everything fits with the correct yokes and triple clamps
Nice mods you have there. How easy is the zx10r shock to install? The stock one is pretty rough
You need to relocate the coolant tank. I used one from a bandit 1250, it fits under the right tail section.
Check my walkaround video, it's visible
@@goozlo oh yeah I see, I think I'll look in to upgrading it. Do you think it will fit the stock swing arm?

Just make sure you get zx10r 2009 or zx6r 2007. They have softer spring that suits the bandit, all the other years are too stiff.
Looks like you took off the PLX AFR gauge, was that because it’s not waterproof? Or did you plan to only use if for tuning and then remove it anyway?
