Liverpool Academy got slapped by Preston Accademy last week.2 leagues bellow , looked like boys against men. This kid gave up because he was pocketed so bad.
@@JohnJohn-cu7nkand thats fine… he’s 16? No where NEAR his full potential… let’s track those Preston players over the next 5 years and see how it pans out
@jamalrobinson2159 Maybe .But unless he learns how to beat a man on the outside, he aint going far.He cuts in 95% of the time.Hes gonna get worked out fast.
I wish I'd have had half of the talent this lad has right now! Modern day fans just don't see the bigger picture with younger players. They expect them to be the finished product. The lad is 16, playing in a different system and still getting used to his new team mates ffs! Give him another year and maybe some experience with the first team and we'll start to see the real progress with Rio. He's got the talent, he just needs the guidance to improve it
All you saying he’s too greedy and not enough end product must have never played youth football. This is how he hones his craft. He’s only like 16, give him time, this is where he’s supposed to figure these things out.
Exactly how Cristiano Ronaldo was as a young teenager. Let the kid play and develop that other side. Ronaldo didn't develop that until Ferguson got hold of him and even then it took Fergie a while to get him to look up and create more! 16 and it looks like he has amazing potential! Hope he realises that potential.
I have been watching his games since he joined and has definitely improved on passing the ball at the right time. Should have had 3 assists minimum in this game. Problem with flair players and especially at youth level is that team mates spend too much time watching them and not getting into good positions to create space or even receive the pass.
He reminds me of how Sterling played when we first signed him to the Academy. As soon as he hit the first team his output massively improved so I suspect it will be the same in this case.
@@smaugballer7337 he’s only 16 atm so of course he’s gonna get better, but he already looks like an absolute baller - sterling when he was 16/17 was getting way more hype than this boy rio who looks like he could be even better than sterling (time will tell though) .
Rio looks incredible. Can’t wait to see him break into the 1st team. His passing looks good and his dribbling is fun to watch. I hope he can keep practicing and stay focused
the people in this comment section are the reason why i say footballers of nowadays should stay away from social media cos there’s way to many dunces commenting on the game, way too many stupid people who know nothing about the game commenting on it. it’s also one of the reasons the game has gotten robotic.
@HalFang oh sht up. I'm sure you have the same opinion of Vini Jr, Mbappe and Nico Williams because he looks to be cut from the same cloth as those wingers
What? And be a headless chicken? He was looking for passes but the movement of his team mates was poor. Not to mention the finishing. Go and watch videos of Johnny Barnes. He had a similar style. Waited for the opponent to commit. There are plenty of fast wingers around who don't have a finshed product.
Great little dribbler but zero end product. He needs to get that part of his game right. His shooting is best described as of an inadequate quality and his final pass is underwhelming.
Zero end product ? You not see 2/3 of the amazing balls he played off his left foot, that if wasn’t for some poor finishing would’ve had a couple assists
He hardly gave the ball away, they're feeding the ball to probably the youngest player on the pitch. In a 90m game he had penetration, was marked my 2 RM players which identified him as a threat, probably by the coach. In that time it's ridiculous the amount of touches he had on the ball. I don't know what you've seen that the pros have missed.
Sickening that there is now a generation of "English" players that are unrecognisable to me as an Englishman and i cannot pronounce their names. The UK has let down its people historically, culturally, socially, legislatively, morally, and are currently destroying the nation and its values even more.
Are yall really hating on a 16 year old playing against 19s? Who is Controlling the game and playing better than you ever have in your life. Really?

Most of these morons that say shit about these kids have never even played Sunday league
This kid can lead Liverpool and England to glory 🎉
SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE
He certainly has immense potential to become a great player for Liverpool
He looks levels above them. He passes and they can barely control the ball before it’s tackled away
What a player

everyone on here criticising a 16yr old who's getting paid more per week than you do in a year 🤣
reminds me a lot of Diaz
That’s a player
he slows the game down soooo much
Sometimes you need it, especially when you are leading in a high stakes match
I agree with you he trys to beat 2.or 3 players each time he's better beating first player and whipping it in
Imagine if they converted those chances, would you be saying this? He is played well.
No he doesn't. He is trying to find a pass. The same way the first team now play. They don't cross unless they are sure of a decent chance of scoring.

Absolutely no contribution and no end product..Loads of potential to be honed.
could've had a few assists. was a danger all game

he shouldve had about 2 assists if teammates could finish, especially that cross into box for a header straight at the keeper
