Matt I am so proud of you and happy for you on your lifestyle change. I started my journey in June 2023 and reached my target before Thanksgiving. Stay faithful to yourself and your health! I cut way back on dairy gluten and fat. Gave up sodas and ice cream, which was not as hard as I thought it would be. Also fasting from 6 PM to 10 AM. Amazing success. Best of luck!
Because I survived a ranch at 6000 feet and one that had a mile long hill down into place in mountains and last 5 miles were dirt...I look at clearance of a lot of these things with a "jaundiced eye" as dad would say. I know the big ones have air etc...I also know many would not have made it into ranch period...and I still love the A class and while I think a c without the overhang on a truck chassis for some of places not as bad as ranch was that I still want to go...I love a nice shorter A class gas with more clearance..very cool. Hard for me to give up all the cherry wood colors still, but I love the brushed nickel and wood in here as well. Matt bless you...working on it all in that dept. too.
Congratulations on the choice of making a lifestyle change! Made the same decision for myself back in July of last year. Lookup the Mediterranean diet... it not a "diet", but definitely a lifestyle change in what you eat. Involves eating more vegetables. Also, love Andrea's dress! Purple is my favorite color! Now on to the motorhome! Love the floorplan for this one and I'm glad that the bunk over the bed is optional. I would prefer to have just cabinetry. Likes/Loves: 1. The windows and the blinds for the windows!! 2. The theater seat lounge chairs and that the couch is a tri-fold. 3. Love the storage and layout in the bedroom. Dislikes: 1. No adjustable shelves in the hutch since there is not an actual pantry. 2. No struts to hold up the bed to access storage. 3. The blank space on the steering wheel seems like there are bells and whistles missing.
#BobbleHead! The electric fireplace is awesome because if it is cold enough to use alittle bit of heat but not freezing weather it makes sense to use the electric fireplace instead of the propane furnace. An it can be used for light to set the mood at night without using the heat. I wish they would put them in every travel trailers, fifth wheels an motorhomes! I hope Matt an Andrea that yall are having a great day!
We definitely would use the fireplace first since our dog and cat love the heat. 😂 Love the storage in this RV and the interior colors. Thanks for all your help and fantastic reviews. We even taught our parrot how to say "What the what?"
Bobblehead review, I think electric is the best option for all RV situations, but I also love propane options because when all else fails, heat sources need ways to work in any situation and any desperate cold night.
#bobblehead We use both! Our 5th wheel is 4 seasons so we use the furnace in below freezing temperatures which ducts into the basement and heats the tanks. For all non-freezing temps we use the electric fireplace because it is whisper quiet. Also, the camera looks good but the microphone didn't work as well when you were outdoors.
We considered this model, but bought a 2024 Entegra Vision XL 36C. Dislikes: tight with slides in, screen location for back up/side camera, prefer the modern farmhouse cabinets, only one bath. Likes: full body paint, love the new windows with shades, oven, 'bourbon cabinet' above fireplace, tv on a lift, king bed, electronic control pad for lights & slides, etc., I prefer the propane furnace. I agree that the Vision XL is one of the best Class A gas motorhomes on the market We first considered the 36C 18 mos ago at the Ocala rv show. Liked this so much, I compromised and bought one without full body paint.
#Bobblehead. We use the fireplace along with a space heater. We set the furnace as a backup. It's better to use electricity so you don't have to break camp to refill propane on longer stays.
I've watched your content for a couple of years now. I don't have a RV but one can always dream. I have thought , for the time I've watched, that you would be well served by using wireless Lavalier mics. It is more evident with your new camera, by the sound dropping to low levels as you walk or turn away from the new camera. Wireless Lav mics would negate that problem, providing us with a constant audio level regardless of your position or distance. Just a thought.
The generator location is terrible. You'll find a lot of 34G owners fighting overheating/vapor locking issues because it is so close to the header pipe.
@@brianluttman7034 Thanks for the information. I was referring to the generator not being under the bed running at night if you're boondocking and need the A/C on.
I will say, this is a gorgeous RV! One of the few things I am not crazy about is that the theater seats are opposite the tv, if quests were sleeping over there would be no tv for them.
#bobblehead we love to use the fireplace! We love the heat and it definitely saves on propane. It looks so pretty to have the fireplace running. Thanks, Matt and Andrea, for the fun and informative videos. We love you here in Amherstburg, ON😊
#bobblehead We don’t have a electric fireplace however we have a portable electric heater that we use when on shore power to save on propane. One advantage of electricity over propane is that electricity doesn’t put extra humidity in the trailer .
Love the two sofas and TV placement, the residential looking windows, the big bathroom and fiberglass roof👍but the fireplace placement is odd and the travel access is abysmal☹️
Hi Matt and Andrea! I love the idea of having an electric fireplace. My likes are the same as you. My dislikes are the high shower, no pantry, and those are all dislikes. Thank you Matt and Andrea!
Matt, maybe you could do a vid featuring rigs that have beds that someone over 5’8”-5’10” can sleep on stretched out without their feeding hanging off the end. Only the the really big buck rigs can you get kind of a King bed. 70x74 a King??? Even the high buck ones I found are only 70”x80”, the manufacturers can’t find room for another 2” in width? Even finding rigs with a residential queen (60”x80”) is a tough find on Class C or A units.
You could increase more counter space if you just squared up the sink instead of having at an angle. Like the electric fireplace but would like to have both options to meet different conditions. Love it has an oven. I wish Builders/designers would consider a rear door of decent size so you could slide let’s say Kayaks in and out.
I think the camera is doing a great job. The quality looks so good. My wife and I are working on getting an RV and I have the same thinking as Matt. If I can use all electric, I would. Our house is all electric, and i love it . That way, i would not have to worry about refilling propane #bobblehead
Great video. This is one of the best floor plans I have seen. I don't like the fireplace on the side and the V is off center. Theater seats are too small and needs to have 4 drink holders. Close but no cigar.
I installed an electric fireplace and built a custom surround and we use it for heat. The only time we used our gas heat was when we bought it it was tested before we left #bobblehead
#bobblehead We usually preferer the gas furnace because of the more even heat distribution. We found that the fireplace works good in the area of the fireplace but not so good getting back to the bedroom. also noticed that the fireplace is usually close to the thermostat and that can affect the time the furnace will turn on or off if you use both at the same time.
#Bobblehead I would actually use both propane furnace AND electric fireplace. The fireplace is great for the living area, but that heat wouldn't get to the bedroom as well as the propane furnace heat would.
#BobbleHead. I love the fireplace but I think the propane heater works better if your off grid more but I would just like to have to have so I have that option. Thanks Matt and Andrea
#Bobblehead- I heat my motorhome using the electric fireplace and have a small ceramic cube electric heater up front, and it keeps the motorhome comfortable. Saves on propane. I met you guys at the Tampa show 2 years ago and at the Margaritaville RV campground in Auburndale Florida. Keep up the great work you guys.
My wife says I NEED to win her a Mat bobble head. Soooooo…. #bobblehead. She says electric fireplace for the ambiance and heat. Praying 🙏🏻🙏🏻 for a win. Please 😬😬?? Oh, and we like the new camera and hope you continue using it 👍
#bobblehead We use our furnace as our current RV doesn't have a fireplace. The designers of it though built a fo brick wall which would have been a perfect place for a fireplace!
#Bobblehead I use electric fireplace and heat pump unless it is extremely cold then I have to use the propane furnace. Always use electric since I’m already paying for the hookup.
Electric all the way!! I'm so happy for you working on getting more healthy!! Looking forward to you climbing back up those ladders (because it'll mean you are getting lean!!)
#bobblehead I like the idea of electric heat from the fireplace but our motorhome doesn't have one. Propane it is for me. Like the new camera. Good luck on your new lifestyle journey!
#bobblehead I don't have an rv. But if I did, I really think it would depend on the temperature where I was camping. I think if it's cold enough, I'd want the furnace that would heat the whole rv. If it was just a little chilly, I'd probably use the electric fireplace.
I applaud 👏 you Matt for your life change regarding your health/weight! Keep it up 👍. I’m rooting for you. #bobblehead I don’t have an RV (womp, womp womp), BUT I’d prefer electric. I love the fireplace in any RV. NOTE: LOVE THE NEW CAMERA. Looks crystal clear to me.
#bobblehead, I like to have both the fireplace and furnace. Fireplace on cool nights and furnace when it is cold. Lots to really like on this motorhome, but the dislikes are there also. No drawer in the kitchen for silverware and utensils, no real pantry and only 3 drawers in the bedroom. Love the new windows. Hopefully Entegra's quality is back to what it was before the pandemic.
Electric for heat when possible. Something that irks me is when the heat source is really close to and facing a surface (side of couch, chair, etc). Its going to heat up that side and possibly dry it out.. meaning early wear. If someone is sitting in that spot then they are going to get cooked. The fireplace needs to face out into the middle.
#Bobblehead I personally prefer the electric heater because it doesn't get as warm as the propane heater. I dont like being hot. My wife on the other hand, likes it to be toasty so she'll throw on the propane heater.
#Bobblehead! We don’t own a RV yet, but we think electric fireplaces are the way to go! Great video and best of luck on your new journey ;) we watch the reviews daily and we’ll have one soon!

When is Entegra/Jayco going to correct the generator overheating issue with the Vision/Vision XL. It needs to be in the back away from the engine

Change the dinette and the sofa! That way way your guests can enjoy the tv with out sitting at the table! Electric for heat!
#bobblehead -I prefer the electric fireplace for 2 reasons 1. Setting a mood 2. Electricity is free while on park power
#Bobblehead. We use the fireplace along with a space heater. We set the furnace as a backup. It's better to use electricity so you don't have to break camp to refill propane on longer stays.
I use our quieter fireplace whenever we have hookups and save the propane for camping off grid👍
We use our propane heater but very little. We installed the small diesel heater and it keeps our 32' class C comfortable.

I use the fireplace and one space heater in my Hurricane 35M. I had it for over 2 years and still have 60 percent propane left in the tank.
Love the generator location!
Not a fan of the chairs offset of the TV or a combo washer/dryer but great deal.

Are the windows double paned?
