Why critical of him driving RTR? Man a lot of people don’t understand he is paying RTR to run his race program. Which is (1) totally fine (2) pretty normal in the racing world, especially with new/foreign drivers or “field fillers” (3) is probably saving him money in the long term. Like a lot of money.
i didn't know if it would help but you can definitely see the way he was driving the 4 rotor translate to the way he was driving the mustang this weekend and it looked completely different to the way he was driving it previously. hopefully this means he'll drive the 4 rotor even more because god dang that car sounds and looks amazing.
i also feel like doing the invitational at e town with the same layout right before the event may have been planned because he just seemed really comfortable with where he was transitioning and entering

@@sagnik8432I think everyone jumped over to the A90 as it was a new chassis so gets a lot of media attention but then everyone quickly realised it's a hard chassis to be competitive in. Even Piotr Weicek, two time DMEC champion, is having issues getting the A90 chassis to feel the way he wants it to. It was supposed to be ready for the start of the 2023 DMEC series but 2 rounds in and we have yet to see it. Even Daigo Saito has been out of the Top10 the past couple of seasons of D1GP with the A90 Supra. Aasbo is the only person I know of whose actually been successful with the A90 chassis. It's just too hard to stay competitive with it unless you have a really knowledgeable team to put in major R&D into the suspension development to know what works and what doesn't. Papadakis is that guy which is why Aasbo is doing so well in it, but not many other teams have that kind of specialist.
Firstly it's bad that we consider that a positive when that should be expected. But I'd argue Matt Field drove off track in T16 dropping 2 tyres into the dirt and Castro backed out of it and somehow Field STILL got the win

On another note, I understand that rules are rules, but that was some BS from Stuke stretching out that rule, some things are just NOT worth chasing, no hate to Stuke but he now lost any amount of respect anyone had for him after that protest, keeping your reputation intact is more important than getting into the top 16, also, karma is a B! 😉
agree, it ended up costing him even more in the end. but that's competition, ya have to do what ever you can to try and get into that top 16 even if it means taking advantage of a gray area rule. but i'm going to say it was likely the team that pressured that protest just to see if it would work so i'm not putting all the blame on driver for that, he probably didn't even notice it until the team said something in the pits.

I was completely fine with Stuke’s protest. It’s in the rule book and he played the rules like many team have done in the past, including RTR. Sure it was for nothing in the end but he took the risk and I can respect that. He also drove hard all day which can’t be said for every driver, some also played the rules in the past by brake checking and over rotating for nothing. It’s part of the sport and I know it was a bit cheap on Stuke’s part but did it justify his altercation with Chelsea calling him a Bitch ? I’m not so sure

Regardless of if it's a competition or not, trying to exploit the rules to last another round is low class behavior. Drivers and teams need to use better judgment and not turn this into a protest heavy sport. Lots of drivers have talked about how much they dislike protesting and try not to do it. Chelsea just talked about that in an interview with lone star. I think stuke lose a lot of fans tonight, including myself. Glad karma came around quick.

the james deane and travis reeder run is the soul of what driving is the trust the eye for an eye the balance between both drivers of just being able to be in tune with each other the car and the track it was really one of those rare uncut moments where both minds are thinking can you really drive and do go out and execute such a great run man it reminded me of ride outs with my boys back in the day where if you knew how to drive you just knew how to drive and both of these guys know how to drive it was the back off in the chase by dean on the inside clip good God almighty love life

This is from the FD Judging Regulations pdf: "Protests must be done on an action that was missed by the judges within the confines of a battle that would have resulted in an Incomplete or an action that would have changed the outcome of the result. from that driver, I.E: Driver X’s trunk came open during a run and the judges did not see it. The action with regards to Formula DRIFT protests is defined as an action that is incontrovertible visual evidence and not subject to a judge’s opinion." In this case, Driver X's passenger side front hood pin was broken, the hood was still clearly attached and never came off or opened. It was like that from the start on both runs, the Judges clearly saw it flapping and also commented on it, so it wasn't missed, and it never came off since it was 1 of 4 hood pins. The outcome wouldn't have changed and the hood was like that from the start on both the chase and lead run, so like Jarod said, it never effected Stuke. Based on these rules this protest was not valid, yet it got reviewed and accepted, that should be embarrassing. We all know the teams do the protest, not the drivers, so its all on Lanteigne and the other driver's steward for allowing that to even happen.
The great thing about adams night is that he had no gimme rounds. When he got 4th, he had a bye and i think someone else broke. But this run he drove his ass off every round. Way to go man, you looked like a champ tonight
From watching this season of FD I feel like James Deane isnt used to the V8 and Mustang Chassis. Maybe it just takes time or maybe he should stick with a European/Japanese Chassis and 2JZ or something...
