Jackeline Flores Ramin was the Phantom for London’s 25th anniversary. Phantom opened in London before it did on Broadway. This video is phantom being celebrated for 25 years on /broadway/ and Hugh was the phantom in New York during this time.
I love how when Hugh is talking "The one thing that kept me steady was my leading lady, Sierra" (Seirra Walks on camera) " I had three other amazing Phantoms with me on stage" (Ramin walks on Camera)
Ramin YOU CAN'T SAY your career as the phantom is over YOU JUST CAN'T xD damn I sooooo want to see him again playing the Phantom even if for just one night :D he embodies it in such a PERFECT way he's THE BEST PHANTOM for me ♥♥
Heidi Lam hugh was quite good 60th anniversary usa and uk join together and can scott Davis be phantom in london hugh in usa excellent phantoms ! sierra boggess usa emmi christen uk my cast obviously people in it now !☺
Maxime Slieker The anniversary show with Ramin and Sierra was the West End anniversary. This one, with Hugh Panaro and Sierra, was the Broadway 25th anniversary.
I'm so very thankful that they filmed the West End 25th because Ramin and Sierra are the best phantom and Christine in my opinion (especially when they're together).
16:45 ish...suuuurre, Hugh. ;) He says this in a lot of interviews, but it's so hard to believe, since he plays the seductive, in-control Phantom better than any actor I have ever, ever seen. I think he likes to be humble and say that part doesn't come very easy to him, but anyone with eyes can see he's got it down pat.:) (shows off his acting skills)Sierra's reaction to Hugh showing up behind her at 19:59 is so cute. And then, as a Hugh fan, with Hugh Goggles I can't help but let him steal the show -he's all I see, and through to the end of the video, his antics behind her, not really realizing he's in the shot, CRACK me up! So adorable and funny.
0:09 I thought the Les Mis 25th was a year before the Phantom Les Mis was made in 1985 and Phantom was in 1986 It was also pretty cool that Ramin was in both of them
I think this one is in Broadway which would then be correct because Phantom is the first one that reach 25th anniversary. Les Mis didn't play as long on Broadway.
@@bettywyatt but that was in West End. Les Mis played in Broadway from 1987 to 2003 and Phantom from 1988 to 2023. Les Mis never reached its 25th year on Broadway. This is the 25th celebration for the Broadway production, not the West End production. The West End 25th celebration is the Royal Albert Hall performance in 2011, starring Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess, which is the one we all know because it is published on DVD and have snippets of this around youtube. The Broadway 25th celebration is this one held in 2013 in Majestic Theatre, starring Hugh Panaro and Sierra Boggess, there is no recorded performance of this publicly available.
Peter Jöback always gets less applause than the others. Can't help but feel a bit sorry for him. Ramin tho!! He certainly deserves all that cheer, mnmhm!
Ooh Dodie Pettit! She was an amazing Christine. And Kevin Gray was also an amazing Phantom... RIP. At least he got to see the 25th Anniversary before he died.
I love the one whit Hadley Fraser Sierra Bogges and Ramin Karimloo.oh and if u go to put locker and type Phantom of.... then click the one whit just a mask
Ramin did the 25th anniversary for the west end, this one is 25th year the show reached Broadway, I think it was 26 and a half year since the original in 1986
I honestly think she is very pretty, but coming from a farm, every time she opens her mouth to sing, it looks like the scoop bucket on my son's excavator! Sorry, my opinion. She is a lovely girl though.
I Thoroughly enjoyed the 25th anniversary performance of Phamton and subsequent performance of Love Never Dies. I have seen Phamton 6 times including the original on Broadway. I must concur with the comment below stating that Sierra was the best Christine, and Ramin best Phamton. It gave me a welcome uplift while I was home bound to avoid COVID 19. So much so that I had to call my cousins, Steph and Ben Kline to tell them. (My cousins know Sierra from the New York City music business}
I'm guessing that this is Broadway, and the Ramin and Hadley one was West End? I'm confused it doesn't look like the one at RAH. AND NO RAMIN YOU HAVE TO BE ERIK FOREVERRRRRRRR no I'm kidding but YOU CAN'T JUST BE DONE WITH IT??? *cries*
It’s their choice. A show like is very draining, physically and emotionally. So Royal Albert all was 3 performances, Ramin said he would step back into the role, just not now. When the local high school did it, my friends who played raoul, Christine, and Erik were so tired, they couldn’t come to class, the person who played Christine’s sister told me, she said they were so tired and drained, and they had to study, so the teacher gave them a pass thank goodness! But, it’s tiring doing this 8 times a week (6 for Christine’s, they need to rest their voices so the understudies step in)
i was at her opening night! it was so amazing! tho the theatre was smaller than i expected which was good because we were really close to the stage and i got to meet her and talk to her! great night and great show!
Gosh, I said the same words when I`ve heard that))) Ramin is the best, he have to be The Phantom, and he always will be!!!! I hope, he will play this role for many years... ♥
haha i couldnt help but laugh when hugh was in the background during sierras interview. he is just too adorable! SO glad i saw him perform this year! i WILL go see him again when he returns!
I love Hugh and Ramin. And Sierra of course. They're all so beautiful and funny and talented. And it's so nice for all of these past phantoms and Christines to show up. And the footage of music of the night and wishing you were somehow here again is beautiful, i've never seen it..hmm...
Colm was a legit inspiration, so much so, that he followed his career after talking to him and started up a band much like Colm had in his earlier days. You can always have more than one inspiration.
That thought crossed my mind as well. I think more than likely he wasn't expecting an interview at that moment, he wasn't focused at all. But I'm sure the drinks were going around. ;)
They filmed the 25th anniversary with Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimaloo at Royal Albert Hall. But I don't think they filmed the NYC version with Broadway :(
+Shanae Waring les mis is not on broadway...surprisingly but it's only in the west end :) les mis is the oldest west end musical but phantom is the oldest broadway musical
So there is this... but than there is also the 25th anniversary dvd one which had Ramin as Phantom right? So which one is the real anniversary performance? Is it a West End/Broadway thing?
He was the phantom for the West End (the UK), this is the 25 year anniversary for the Broadway production. I think the West End was made 2 years before Broadway? I'd look it up to be sure lol.
My english teacher played christine in some production of this and she actually looks dead on like sierra in the show. Her hair is naturally that color and curly tho haha
Does anyone know if they filmed this like the 2011 25th and will put it on dvd? Cuz if not I will kindof die inside since I just went to NY and forgot it was the 25th (shame)
Ramin is the best Phantom
Sierra is the best Christine
and also HADLEY is the best Raoul
in my heart....
Yes!
Too true
Someone answer me! Was there two 25th anniversarys?!?! Because there was one of ramin, and for some reason one of Hugh Panaro...
Jackeline Flores Ramin was the Phantom for London’s 25th anniversary. Phantom opened in London before it did on Broadway. This video is phantom being celebrated for 25 years on /broadway/ and Hugh was the phantom in New York during this time.
AlwAys!
Hadley is the best Raoul, and Ramin is the Phantom, and Sierra IS Christine.
Originals are still the best.... Crawford and Sara...
I love how when Hugh is talking
"The one thing that kept me steady was my leading lady, Sierra" (Seirra Walks on camera)
" I had three other amazing Phantoms with me on stage"
(Ramin walks on Camera)
Is it me or did Ramin get a lot more applause when he sang?
I also thought about that.. probably because he and sierra share an amazing chemistry on stage
Very true
he did
He definitely did. I felt a little bad for the others.
He's like the best phantom there is. Nothin' will ever match the chemistry between Ramin and Sierra
RAMIN NEEDS TO BE PHANTOM AGAIN
YES!!!!!!
He was briefly for Prince of Broadway
He took over the phantoms instagram and said in a story that he would do it again. It's saved in the highlights.
In Italy
well, he is back
Ramin: "My time as the Phantom is over."
Me: NO! NO RAMIN!!! DON'T SAY THAT!!! D':
The best phantom Ramin Karimloo, his voice is wonderful :D *-*
Valeria Milagros you are CORRECT Miss!
Ramin YOU CAN'T SAY your career as the phantom is over YOU JUST CAN'T xD damn I sooooo want to see him again playing the Phantom even if for just one night :D he embodies it in such a PERFECT way he's THE BEST PHANTOM for me ♥♥
He briefly reprised the role for Prince of Broadway, but he's tired of it because he's played so many times.
Heidi Lam hugh was quite good 60th anniversary usa and uk join together and can scott Davis be phantom in london hugh in usa excellent phantoms ! sierra boggess usa emmi christen uk my cast obviously people in it now !☺
- Noticeably louder applause for Ramin - Same.
Maxime Slieker The anniversary show with Ramin and Sierra was the West End anniversary. This one, with Hugh Panaro and Sierra, was the Broadway 25th anniversary.
ooh thanks! that makes sense
Forever Ramin and Sierra
Yaaaas! 🙌
I love how you can tell Sierra is in the best mood ever
Everyone of them played the Phantom so amazingly but Ramin Karimloo was born to be the PHANTOM !
Ramin and Sierra just have the best chemistry.
Ramin Karimloo & Sierra are the best voices I’ve ever heard !
I'm so very thankful that they filmed the West End 25th because Ramin and Sierra are the best phantom and Christine in my opinion (especially when they're together).

Peter is the weakest of the Phantoms on stage..so ..makes sense
*Sigh* I'm just glad that I got to watch the Ramin and Sierra era of PTO. They're my favorite match of Phantom and Christine.
And cue the Phangirls at 14:08
Ooh Dodie Pettit! She was an amazing Christine. And Kevin Gray was also an amazing Phantom... RIP. At least he got to see the 25th Anniversary before he died.
I love Sierra and She has A geogeous name I love her and her name soooo much
Sierra is just so adorable and bubbly! How can you not love her?

Thanks for explaining 😊
watching hugh in the background during sierra's interview had to be the funniest thing ever
I wish Ramin would be the Phantom again. I don't know if anyone can play it better than him...
I love Sierra Boggess sooooo much
I honestly think she is very pretty, but coming from a farm, every time she opens her mouth to sing, it looks like the scoop bucket on my son's excavator! Sorry, my opinion. She is a lovely girl though.

Ramin is the only phantom I love

20:03 Sierra I love you but for some reason I can't keep my eyes off Hugh😂 I love Hugh😍
Ramin was in the one at the Royal Albert Hall--there's more than one:)
honestly Ramin talks and looks at Sierra like a proud dad/big brother
Oh Ramin I can't explain how much do I love you
How I know Ramin is the best Phantom. His is the only rendition of Music of The Night that gets me teary.
rebeca luker always stunning, rest in piece legend❤
hugh at 20:59 is the purest thing in life
i was at her opening night! it was so amazing! tho the theatre was smaller than i expected which was good because we were really close to the stage and i got to meet her and talk to her! great night and great show!

I think he got the biggest response of everyone, including Hugh.
Ramin will always be The Phantom.

"Oh, theres a Phantom right there!" funny!!@19:56
Hugh and Ramin are my absolute favourites.
Mine as well
Does Ramin tell everyone they inspired him to begin his career? XD He's said that about Colm Wilkinson too.
Colm was a legit inspiration, so much so, that he followed his career after talking to him and started up a band much like Colm had in his earlier days. You can always have more than one inspiration.
I know. I was only joking.
RAMIN COME BACK AND PLAY THE PHANTOM WITH SIERRA!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!
21:29 Definitely a phantom...
Exactly
I highly doubt that this show will stop running before it hits 50 years
Of course this gets recommended to me 7 years later
I LOVE RAMIN AND SIERRA
Thank you for posting. Love it!
I love the phantom of the opera
from Japan 🥀
he was the phantom in London. Hugh Panaro was the phantom in New York.
Hugh is phenomenal, absolutely the best.
Sierra is the best. Always count on her to make you happy. :-)
i love you, Ramin!
Ramin as phantom again!
haha everyone screamed when it was Ramin's turn to sing @ 14:07
That thought crossed my mind as well. I think more than likely he wasn't expecting an interview at that moment, he wasn't focused at all. But I'm sure the drinks were going around. ;)
They filmed the 25th anniversary with Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimaloo at Royal Albert Hall. But I don't think they filmed the NYC version with Broadway :(
RIP Rebecca Luker

The dvd with Ramin is the West End 25th anniversary (opened 1986) and this is the Broadway 25th anniversary (opened 1988)
Ramin *O* Ahah, I love him and Sierra ^^
Okay, just knowing I live an hour or so away from where Ramin went to high school
CanadiansS!
Can someone explain to me why there are 2 different 25th anniversaries? (the other one with Ramin as Phantom) and why did they make 2?
Maxime Slieker The recording with ramin and sierra (the incredible one) was the london 25th anniversary, and this is the broadway 25th anniversary
Did I miss Andrew Lloyd Webber? He should be there - he is the most important person, the ONLY irreplacible person, the genius behind it all!
He had an emergency surgery like 2 days before!
Is this coming to DVD like the West End 25th? PLEASE SAY YES!
They showed a clip of Christine as a bride in the mirror --- but thats not in the show
I’m confused I thought Ramin played the phantom at 25 year celebration?
He was the phantom for the West End (the UK), this is the 25 year anniversary for the Broadway production. I think the West End was made 2 years before Broadway? I'd look it up to be sure lol.
My english teacher played christine in some production of this and she actually looks dead on like sierra in the show. Her hair is naturally that color and curly tho haha
Ramin is Erik
KEVIN GRAY
Got to say since 1986 there has been excellent phantoms and only three christines I liked
Michael crawford is 1 2 is hugh 3 is ramin karimloo 4 joj 5 norm lewis
5 phantoms mc 1 ramin 2 hugh p 3 joj 4 norm lewis 5 and sierra and sarah and Rebecca as the christines hadley Fraser as raoul
RAMIN IS THE BEST!
Is this not the Royal Albert Hall spectacular?
I wonder if Hugh Panaro had work done cos he does not look his age.
I personally think hugh was best the way he portrayed it but you have the right to your opinion.
i havent seen him and im sure he is for what i've heard but for me not disrespect ramin is amazing as phantom..:)
Hugh panaro at the end ahahaha
Does anyone know if they filmed this like the 2011 25th and will put it on dvd? Cuz if not I will kindof die inside since I just went to NY and forgot it was the 25th (shame)
Ramin sounds so Canadian
He *is* Canadian - Well, Iranian-Canadian to be more precise.
lmao same! I don't want rierra go
Can you all shut up about Ramin and Sierra? It is about the show, not just two specific performers.
but then they have to kill it with Love Never Dies!
*BEST PHANTOM!!!!
NOOOOOOOO I have died a bit inside :..(
YES PLEEEEEASE!!!!!! DX
Hadley? ;n;
I'm confused. Why is Ramin talking about being able to watch the show? Didn't he do phantom in the 25th anniversary performance? What's going on?
He watched the performance until the end when he was brought on for the quintet at the end. Just like the other guest phantoms.
@@isobelduncan he also only saw act one of the anniversary production so he can prepare
best Phantom DAVIS GAINES.... THE LONGEST RUNNING PHANTOM... over 2000 performances 6 years. the best ever.
