Hey Phill & TTK I found this early this morning this is the Ultimate Most expensive signature guitar & previously owned. This tops the Peter Frampton Gibson Black Beauty.
I believe Pew De Pie would buy this. haha

Hello, would you be able to evaluate a PRS se 245 VS the PRS Se 245 standard? They are built in different factories Korea and Indonesia respectively, the Korean one is significantly more expensive. Maybe you can find out/elaborate why. Thanks.

Phillip McKnight Mary Kaye’s Strat was never a real signature guitar. 2007 I think it was Fender Custom shop did a small run and Mary Kaye never owned that strat that she made popular. She played D’Angelico guitars. She is my great Aunty and I know this to be a fact.

Nick Smee Mr. Smee, what a thrill to see your son grow up in the guitar community. These 2 gentlemen couldn’t be better for you or him to watch. It’s hard for me or anyone to give you advice, BUT, first it’s not to late for you to learn guitar yourself and the 2 of you share quality time together, but you will despite the frustration of beginning enjoy the peace and tranquility it brings as we get older and learn. I’m a 62 yr. old cancer survivor and it’s one of the things that keeps me going. But encourage him, buy him or better yet, let him save up and buy the best equipment he can so he doesn’t get discouraged and keep y’all safe from the underlying problems that come with everything out there today.

As I recall Nancy Wilson WAS designing a les paul with Gibson but then due to some legality issues/red tape they couldn't put her name on it. They then transferred it over to Epiphone and that guitar was what was released as the les paul ultra (before the ii and iii additions) That was my first guitar so I wound up doing a ton of the research on it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Jerry Garcia's was a one of a kind guitar that was given to him by the builder who made it by guessing what features he thought that Garcia would like. I'm not sure but it might have been his first time at building a guitar, he was mightily inspired.

Paul from Stomp Box Steals returns again with another heads up. PHIL! I' m the guy that told you way back about Pal 800 and then in turn everything that Luis came along with. Ok another must review product. First I bet you could count on one hand all the guys using 'stacks'. Just about everyone glued to your vids plays an open back combo. At least 80% of them use an OD voiced to sound like a Marshall. Soooo...what the world needs is a box to turn those combo's into a stack. Well...ADA make the GCS 2 GUITAR CABINET SIMULATOR. (yes like all similar boxes it features direct recording capability but that in my book is unimportant to what it SHOULD be used for) I have bought and sold several of these boxes from other brands but they do not even come close to this. Simple just put it as the last pedal on your board or in your amp loop in seconds you can dial up the sound of a Marshall 1960a 4x12 cabinet with Celestion V30 speakers. YOU DOUBLE THE IMPACT OF YOUR OD's no mater what brand !!!
I owned a Marshall PLEXI going through a a 1960a and had it for years. Trust me this is one scary pedal it is soooo close if you have your back to your combo with this on you will think someone put a stack there without you knowing. (ADA make 4 different models BUT this one is the cheapest at $120.00 USD and it is all you need!!! SO PHIL when will we hear your demo???

Mc Ess there's a few products to lube saddles and nuts. Music nomad has a product called Tune-it lube and there's also Big Bends nut sauce. Both are about the same and are supposed to be better than graphite/pencil lead. I've used all and haven't noticed a bunch of difference between any of them. They all work well for lubrication. If you don't want black marks in your saddles or on your nut from graphite I'd go with one of the other products. They are clear gel type substances. Sort of like petroleum jelly. I've heard of people also using bees wax as a lubricant. Hope this helps

Several months ago a guitar and bass store in my area, Cream City Music (they should cut me a check right now for the free advertising LOL), had purchased quite a few instruments, including rare and vintage instruments from former Saturday Night Live guitarist and bandleader G.E. Smith (and when I say vintage I don’t mean 1985 Kramer Pacer, I mean vintage as in it is practically antique). Included in this collection, only a portion of what Mr. Smith owned, were original 1959 Gibson Les Pauls, every one I can remember was priced $25,000 and up, as well as acoustic guitars, one particularly interesting specimen from the 1920s was priced well over $130,000, and they were still examining and evaluating most of the instruments which they had acquired.
The portion of the collection that I saw was simply unbelievable in and of itself, and I have been a fan of musical instruments and a gear junkie since I compared and contrasted what Tony Iommi was using versus what Jimmy Page and Ace Frehley were using in 1977 when I was 5 years old. I want to bed gives us G so very much until I picked you want up getting play one and compared and contrast did it to the Randy Rhoads V I was playing about 9 years later.
Great content Phil, It made her plate and interesting conversation this evening between myself and a few friends in during our improv jam session.

I agree. Sort of. I think John Mayer has brought blues back into the public consciousness and I think the guitar would be totally dead to pop music if not for him-he's the reason more young guitarists are getting popular in an industry that's increasingly just becoming Ableton programming for everything. They record in the studio and then press play on a computer live. That's the way pop wants to go-it's so much cheaper than paying musicians. And with a computer, you can perfectly sync up the music to the costume changes :(
We can thank John Mayer for bringing back the pop guitarist. There would be no Ed Sheeran, no James Bay, no The 1975, no Shawn Mendes, that's just to name a few, without JM. There would be no guitar-driven songs in like, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry's catalogs. Not that I love that music, but the guitar, bass, and drums are the only redeemable qualities in those songs and bass is becoming keyboards, drums are being taken over by 808s... guitar was the next to go. JM saved it for pop music.

@@cdreid99999 Fender is still within reason, but Gibson is in a Dreamland of idiots that think studios want cherry sunburst monitors....i mean really? They fucked up the "300" Ace Frehley signature models, making 50+ less than 300. Quality was all over the place and terrible. Somewhere there is an article called Gibson and the 300. Good reading.
For less than 2 grand, i can have a guy hand build a much better guitar to my own specs, and i have one...probably it and my Diamond Anniversary Strat fight for the top spot...the Strat was a gift from my son...of my 9 guitars, i've actually only paid for 3. :)

A little late here, but I did see it in the comments. Peter Frampton's 1954 Phenix Les Paul. 20,799.00 but I think that has come down. When it was released about 2-3 years ago it was over 25,000. It's a reproduction of his LP that was thought to be lost in a 1980 plane crash.

Doubt anyone will read this now, but Blues Saraceno had a signature yamaha Rgz820R and then a signature Samick. They even had a signature colour - watermelon plaid! His dad makes the Dirty Boy pedals that Blues plays as well. He also developed the Seymour Duncan parallel axis Trembucker (PATB) pickups so had signature pickups as well. Now pays Ernie Ball music man Albert Lee custom shop gold sparkle guitars.

Can't believe Phil didn't mention the Ibanez Joe Satriani Black Dog, that was at least $8500. I know after 20 minutes or so the parameters were switched to current production. I think the Ibanez JS Surfing with the Alien commemorative guitar was expensive too. Some JEMs were a lot too. Just saying because Phil seems to like and know a lot about Ibanezes.

Ritchie Blackmore's signature Strat is pretty reasonable compared to other artists. Also, I bet he's the only artist who doesn't even play their signature guitar, just plays the white ones he has had for around 40 years. At least he uses his signature Engl (which was their first artist amp). His original custom shop strat had a set neck and slightly smaller body, which he said was the one to look out for, even though he never played them live. Fender did produce a copy of his black strat, but he never played that one either.
