Well Handel wrote a lot of oratorios derived from Old Testament stories -e.g Saul,Solomon,Israel in Egypt,Joshua,Esther, Judas Maccabaeus -the latter oratorio has a piece called "see the conquering hero comes" which is to a Hebrew rhthym -also a substantial portion of his audience in London was Jewish especially for his Old Testament oratorios.

Habe schon blödere Inszenierung gesehen-wenigstens eine witzige choreo😅-die Sängerin dürfte das nicht stören, da sie ja gerne die Ulknudel spielt!
