She has such a strong presence. You would belive she was there almost the whole movie

Then again, who am I to judge ? In the "KOTOR" series, I supported the worst of the wookie species in order to break their belief in their own system, encourage them to build themselves back up in a non-traditional way.

Viola Davis definitely made Gaul a more imposing and entertaining character than the book version was. I fully believe this could be a real person. The book version felt a bit too cartoony sometimes with how she spoke.
Well I absolutely adore Viola Davis, and I think she did a wonderful job as Dr. Gaul, the book version of Dr. Gaul was absolutely terrifying.

Love how mercilessly evil she was and didn't get punished for it at all. Even her having to get Lucy out didn't give the blow to her ego as it should have, since it only strengthened the peoples desire to continue watching the games. She's the true victor in all this

Gaul wanted immortality through the legacy of the Hunger Games. Her Games. And Snow was her instrument, ensuring that the Games would continue on after her death. If not for Katniss Everdeen’s final arrow, Gaul’s twisted legacy would have continued to live on through Coin.
I thought Snow was a horrible person, but Gaul makes even him seem nice.
She was my favorite character, hope to see more of her

missing the scene after he gets sejanus out of the arena. the one that talks about civilization undressed and stuff
So Dr. Gaul creates smaller rainbow snakes conditioned by scent, and later on she’s got larger golden snakes she treats with familiarity. It’s my head-canon that she was considering the possibility of some titanic serpent or leviathan-type creature loyal only to her.
I suppose Snow’s team thought ravenous reptile-men worked just fine.

After studying under her and snow grew a arrogance and sense of knowledge that Gaul no longer served snows benefit and eventually killed her and discarded her after outgrowing her and then eventually growing from the lead game maker for some decades till he married Olivia Cardew and had kids who had grandchildren at some point around the 55-65 something games
And probably became president around the 30s game and kept power for 40 plus years

I mean it drives the point of the Hunger Games isn't it. The point isn't "which district breeds the greatest fighters" or "how fair the Capitol is", the point is the Capitol is the one in complete control, there is a victor because it allows there to be one.
Also reinforces the flimsiness of Gaul and by extension Snow's worldview. They claim humans are naturally violent and yet they have to interfere for them to be so.
