Not that I have much experience to say so or even make a suggestion, but you did ask and it got me thinking. I appreciate the way you geometrically and mathematically come up with the grid, but since you're forced to cut out your additional squares, you're doing additional steps and losing paper, simply measuring might be quickest/most accurate.
chunksmyhero Everyones voice is welcome here, whether you have experience or not :). You can measure and mark, but you would need to be really accurate in doing so especially with big paper. Doing the normal grid first and then folding the diagonals is better in my opinion, more accurate and you only loose around maybe 5-8cm at most
You can divide (by pinching) the square edge in 3, then each part in 3 again and then each part in 8 (by dividing three times by 2). So you'll have the marks to make all the diagonal folds thay you need. I hope my comment will be helpful :)
What i did for it was make a 5x5 square grid Then make lines along the diagonals of the the small squares which gives a 9x9 diag grid Then divide all diag grid by 4
you could do the grid by 3x3x2x2x2. so divide into 3rds twice then divide each section into eights. with this you don't need to cut off any paper Edit: or you could divide into 10ths then cut off the excess so you get 9ths. the rest is the same
a very fun crease pattern is the "no title" by mhg, its very easy to collapse but when it comes to the shaping i dont know where anything is so can you make a shaping tutorial please?
Muhammad Sarhan i never planned it but since i haven’t collapsed my actual one yet, il do it (only because alot have asked for it) A reminder that my partial tutorials are for self learning and practicing, meaning you may only get 1,2 or 3 parts to them :)

Will there be shaping tutorial? Im waiting 4 years
To make a 72x72 grid, divide paper into 3rds, then each section into 3rds (a 9x9 grid), then divide the sections in half(18-36-72)
What i did for it was make a 5x5 square grid
Then make lines along the diagonals of the the small squares which gives a 9x9 diag grid
Then divide all diag grid by 4

Me maravilla ver tanta creatividad. FELICITACIONES al artista.
You could measure the lenght of the diagonal and multiply by 7.1111111111

FearlessFlourish thanks, I look forward to the collapse.
Whats the minimum paper size you recommend
ALPHA atleast 60cm as you will loose some paper size after you cut of the extra grid
@@FearlessFlourish Thank you
You literally can do ASMR video out of this!
Awesome tutorial.
Part 2????
Wow
La mulţi ani 2020! O rugăminte : imagini mai putin defocalizate şi în cadru, dacă se poate!
