Never warmed up to Cornell Wilde, but love Yvonne, and Raymond Burr putting out the gravitas as the bad guy shows how he had that something special. Fun to see Anthony Caruso: hope he made a good living, he was a busy guy, and well deserved! (Probably ran to the next soundstage to put on feathers to play an "Indian!")

So underrated! Even in lesser role as Moses' wife in Ten Commandments. Then there's a classic turn in "Captain's Paradise," with Alec Guiness.

I really really liked this movie.
One of the best, good plot and a lot of local color.
Yvonne is playing both the sisters...haha i was about to comment what a great casting job hiring two women who actually look like they could be related.

An enjoyable film. Amazing, that Juan and the others set out to walk uphill in the snow without any water to drink. I notice that in many films. The film directors don't seem to retain technical directors with outdoor experience. Water is essential on any trek.

I love Western movies. I was surprised that the movie is set in the fifties, and it undoubtedly talks about a previous period of Western life. It also surprised me that a lover would usually have his mistress without marriage, then have children with her with the knowledge of her family, and then marry her. I thought the matter came too late.

Wow, what a great movie! I had ever heard of it and almost skipped it based on the romantic title--glad I didn't! Burr and Caruso made a good pair of cops dogging Cornel Wilde. I always think of Caruso as Bela Oxmyx on STAR TREK's "gangster planet" episode. Major baddie Rodolfo Acosta who ended up in a small recurring role on HIGH CHAPARRAL. Frank DeKova landed on F TROOP. PS: To those who are shocked that Cornel Wilde and Lily Munster weren't married... they were by a circuit riding preacher with a Bible, BUT... they weren't married in the Catholic Church, which is a HUGE deal in Catholicism.
Yvonne was only in for a short time. To bad, she was a very good actress.
