Yes. Players are capable of just being better when they want but for some reason don't always do that which, you know, would get them even MORE money. That's such a silly comment. Players don't get better because they're looking for more money. He turned down a ton of money which put pressure on himself. If anything, all he did was prove that he thrives under pressure.
Judge does two things better than ohtani. Hitting and fielding. Ohtani beats him in pitching but ohtani sucks in the field. Judge is having a historic season, ohtani is not. Judge is the mvp
Lets see Ohtani have a higher WAR from the combination of hitting and pitching than judge has just from hitting. Just because you do two things doesn't mean you're more valuable than someone who does one of them. If the guy on offense is that much better than the other guy, then the pitching needs to be even better to overcome the gap. Realistically, at a gap of over 1 fWAR right now, its not close. Judge currently has the 14th highest fWAR season of any position player in history. Just topped Ted Williams and only guys ahead of him are named Bonds, Ruth, Hornsby, Gehrig, Mantle and Wagner. That's how great Judge has been offensively this year. You're just wrong. Ohtani would be the obvious MVP but only if Judge wasn't doing everything he has. And you also have to give extra credit for doing it under higher pressure and in a more meaningful way. Judge has been the only reason a division winner is not still fighting for a wild card. I don't hold the Angels record against Ohtani, but how can I not give Judge bonus points for where he has gotten his team?
You have to compare the numbers to the rest of the league from the season they got those numbers. There are less hits and less home runs now than there were 2-3 decades ago. Pitching as a whole is way better now. The amount of categories judge is leading in is crazy. Bonds never led 8 or more and neither has Pujols. I’m not saying judge is better than bonds. I’m saying in comparison to the rest of the league, Judge is having one of the best seasons ever
I could watch DeRo talk about Judge all day.
About anybody really
You can just tell he loves the game. Makes it so interesting
He’s amazing
In the only two head to heat ABs this season. Judge went 2 for 2 with a single, homer, run and RBI off Ohtani.
I could watch hours of this
Is it just me, or do the high socks over the pants make it look even better?
This was an awesome segment.
Beautiful powerful swing
I just love hearing Peña say BLAKATA
Thank you @Teacherman
MVP 👍👍
I hope he’s clean! No more dirty player please!! 🙌🏼
True, but to be fair he has a massive skeleton to begin with.
Yankees should have signed him
Maybe he wouldn’t be having this year if he was signed?
@@dmiolesh year nah. I think he was face of Yankees before season started.
They will

According to J Rojas, a two-way player wins automatically
🤡🤡🤡
This is not the best offensive season ever. Barry Bonds was better, but this is close

@@allbrosdjay and he’s going for the triple crown as well
@@tunptl18 he is going for the triple crown, so if he does not get he should not be MVP, is that what you mean right?
