Great video Gabriel, I seen your comments on Karl’s trip to the same region a few months back, it really is an amazing place on earth and one we must all try to keep. Keep on rockin man love the videos man just super cool. 😎
Beautiful. I was there in 1976, fresh out of high school visiting my sister/brother in law who were stationed at CFB Baden. We went camping for a week in this same area, took the train etc up to mountain villages for Swiss fondue and hiked the Jungfrau. We had on shorts & Jean jackets while everyone else had on winter coats..lol. Thanks for posting Gabriel and bringing back some great memories 🇨🇦❤️
Swiss Alps is horrendously beautiful! Keep exploring Gabriel ,we're on your path n been your followers these few years ,keeps me going! What a place n you're the best!
Just got back to Portugal from a 10 day side trip to Croatia and Lake Isco in Italy😀. I’ll be here for 3 more weeks before I head back to SF to figure out my life after a year and a half of Travel. Cheers!
Wengen is a great place to stay, cable cars straight up to the mountains or trains to all destinations. I spent 10 days touring, I saw some epic sights and scenery but didn’t even scratch the surface.
Great job capturing this. Sometimes things are touristy because they are frigging amazing. I was there on my birthday in July 2019 and we did the glacier hike and had lunch at the hut. I’ll never forget it. If you can find reasonable accommodations in Zermatt I would highly recommend it so you can hike around the Matterhorn!
I walked back down to Wegan from Kleine Scheidegg after missing the last train down. It got dark. But then a farmer picked me up in his Geep. Full if what else but Swiss Cheeses!
@Gerry Freeman Most people in the entire world are poor schmucks with only a tiny % actually having adequate housing, nutrition, and facilities for actual thriving. I live in the world's so called richest country, USA, and it's increasingly very rough for most Americans with how the economy, job market, housing, and infrastructure are arranged to benefit a minority to have a firehose of cash while living in very high luxury in new castles. This is the 21st century neofeudalistic way of the world. Regular people can enjoy Switzerland for a week if they study up, plan, and understand what, where, and how exactly to do. He got the 3 day pass right for it would be tricky and more expensive to pay for rides as you go, but he does run through it all too fast like it's just a video game.
Peter the average amount of money jobs pay in Switzerland is higher than the U.S so it helps with that. It will seem expensive for average workers that foreigners get payed in their country. Perfect example is how much food cost in local grocery stores in Switzerland
Skiing here is sensational, I did the same trip in the winter on a glorious day. Congratulations on your pronunciation attempts, excellent filming as always.
Awaisome views, after the first day that was very cloudy. You have to be very lucky to be there on sunny days. Switzerland is too expensive to get only cloudy days and leaves anyone stressed.
That's truely a beautiful destination. We saw Karl's videos as well and exlored the Jungfrau region in May 2021. Unfortunatelly the hike from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg was not possible due to snow but we'll be back soon. You have experienced the most beautiful places there. Great share, Gabriel!
Planning a trip to Jungfrau the last week of May and the hike from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg is one of our favorites to try. Were many other trails closed due to snow in May?
@@sarahgiles1928 We have been on Männlichen on May 22nd and as far as I remember we were told that all major trails will be opened around June 10th. But that does not mean it will be the same this year. Good luck and enjoy Switzerland!
so many tourists, but I liked the spot u went to where the drone operator was. Looked a bit more relaxed there. Going soon to Switzerland but haven't yet decided on jungraujoch.
One really has to spend more to come here but it is all worth it for the incredible views. For nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts, Switzerland is a must-visit country!

kind of amazing he is in Switzerland. he usually goes for the budget places. that place is expensive. i am going to also assume that it is the high season there but with covid, maybe they got some deals running
After watching your alaska videos this winter it intrigued me enough to head up there last week, such gorgeous scenery did a boat tour and saw orcas and humpbacks.now I hope to get back to Europe and see the alps
Absolutely amazing! Those blue skies contrasting the whiteness of the mountains looked out of this world - hopefully I'll get to visit one day. I nearly feel off my chair when you mentioned the train prices but at least there was a better value three day pass - that's gonna help out a lot. At those prices I wondered if the helicopter at the end was part of the deal haha. Awesome trip so far Gabriel.
Switzerland is a very expensive nice proper one, but it's the nicest country in the entire world being the only Confederation and having the best infrastructure and cultural norms. It's one where far more than meets the eye is going on for sure, but very doable for a week if a tourist is allowed normal movement and passage ever again.
@@Worldofourown2024 Yes indeed, hopefully that’s not too far away now. The prices are always a bit of a shock when you first arrive but it’s definitely worth it, it’s an amazing country!
@@MattWhitingsEurope Yea, I visited in 1997 finding it so stunningly beautiful. I find Colorado and parts of Utah look most like Switzerland, but obviously don't have the high end well planned infrastructure where Switzerland is a most special European tour to go on. Try to get yourself out on your own instead of doing things like package bus tours. I screwed up by using a bus tour from Germany for I was a young man who didn't know anything about international travel and other countries, but I sure could go on my own today if I were in the position to go on Summer holiday in Europe. That would be so cool!
This looks like heaven on earth ! So funny to see Gabriel trapped in this icetunnels..looking for "freedom", plus the helicopterscene made me think of Gabes acting talent. Hey Gabriel, that first trip up the tram was wonderful but the next day was just wonderful. I don't know if I could do those heights because of my lungs, I just don't have that capacity any longer. I'll just have to enjoy watching you do it. Do take care my friend and if you ever come back to Thailand I will take you on a journey to one of the highest moments in Thailand where there is a Buddhist Temple and the footprint of the Buddha. It's quite spectacular.
You would love hiking up Mt. Taygetos in Peloponnese, Greece. The trail starts in Sparta, and the peak is Profitis Ilias at 7897 feet. It's the highest mountain in Peloponnese. It's good to hike anytime besides winter. At the peak is a man-made pyramid that is older than the great pyramid of Giza.
Great video, lovely views. There's a hidden door out onto the north face of the Eiger somewhere near the station where you stopped for the view of the glacier. Its been used to rescue climbers and retrieve bodies off the north face. There are some amazing stories online and a great book is the White Spider by Heinrick Harrer about the first ascent of the north face.
Switzerland is a beautiful, tourist-attracting country. While it is most famous for its ski resorts during the winter, it is beautiful all year round. Skiing in Switzerland should be on everyone's bucket list.
I know. I was thinking he'd get caught out in the dark scrambling to get back down to his room. I guess they took good care of him since he didn't stray off the path out of the corralled controlled area.
It can be surprisingly pleasant if there is no wind and it's sunny. The reason is probably that the air high up is super dry, so the cold doesn't bite.
Did exactly this in 2016. Based in Grindelwald. Absolute world class beauty and prices. Worth the cost! Just loved the hike up to Mönschjochhutte. You were just unlucky before you found it.
Hi Gabriel, I really enjoy that Greyhound bus song fantastic. That was amazing snow in the middle of summer the mountain train reminds of an amusement park If I didn't see that in the mountains I wouldn't not believe it. I remember the film the Eiger Sanction 1975 Clint Eastwood very near by.
