Many people in my area are no longer donating to Goodwill - they’re donating to local charity’s thrift shops , e.g., Hospice of the Valley, St. Vincent de Paul Foodbank and Foothills Animal Rescue. Check out the kitcheney things aisle - lidless soup tureens, serving bowls and wooden salad bowls make great cover pots. Have seen some weird and wonderful candleholders and the floor stand candle holders are great plantstands for small spaces - use chopping boards, cheese boards/platters and plates for bigger surface area on top.
The tradescantia teddy bear is such a great plant. I got one a year ago hoping I didn’t kill it and now it is about 3 feet long! It’s one of my favorite plants and pretty easy going. I keep mine between west facing windows so it get peripheral light and water/fertilize it once a month (like all my plants) and just trim the crinkly leaves because new will grow from that spot.
Many thanks for this video, very enjoyable! The Confetti Splash you picked up is a great find. So happy for you and the wicker basket you picked up was a wonderful thrift find. Take care! 👌🥰🪴
That was fun! Although, kicking myself for not waiting for Big Box stores to carry the plants I probably spent too much $ on when they were trending and not readily available. Oh well. Loved the Good Will thrifting...I would have purchased the pottery at 24:52...imagine a single Monster leaf in that beautiful vase!
I love the idea of using that glass jewelry box as an upscale prop box! It would do great with some moss and cuttings in there with the high humidity from the closed lid!
Wow, your Home Depot has a lot. I visited Home Depot yesterday in my area, Southeast Texas (where our winters are mild). They had very little to nothing! so I visited Lowes and bought plants left on the clearance table because it was about the same as Home Depot. It was a bummed day. Thanks Ashley, I could watch your shopping and have a smile on my face.
I live in the surrounding area of Charlotte so when I saw your Home Depot had the Black Velvet Alocasia I had to go get it from my Home Depot. I've been looking for a year and finally got it for a good price. Thank you.
Very good video what a wonderful find I thought you were going to faint you were so excited lol I would have been the same way I’ve been looking for love the cactus planter I would get two small cacti and plant them in it thanks for taking us along
I LOVE my confetti, it's one of my favorite syngonium just because the actual plant is so nice, mine's huge. Would definitely recommend a wood stake or something for it to climb up. Also, I noticed when it doesn't get enough light they turns a darker green and the pink spots get lost. But mine's just a couple feet from a south facing window now and the color changed back to that really light pale green that allows the pink spots to show better.
When I go thrifting for house plants I look for kids creations. I found a couple pots at my local area. ( I'm assuming there kids but having Pottery or ceramics that were possibly given as a gift I want to bring that energy into my collection. I have lots of different colored vases and jars for literally next to nothing from thrift stores. I love these videos. I'm not quite finished with your video yet. Can't wait to see your haul ❤
Wow, so Proven Winners is really showing off in the houseplants now. They have always seemed to be more specialized in outdoor gardening. But I know last year they had a ton of beautiful plants that could be grown indoors (begonias, oxalis, etc.). I'm thrilled to see them growing those alocasias and philodendrons because, as a company, they produce very nice plants.

Thanks!
ive been seeing so many people finding black velvets and my area just hasn’t caught up yet😫 one of my wishlist plants
Wonderful plant!
That Alocasia at Lowe’s is a Lauterbachiana
Thanks!
If you're growing your plant in water, do you add fertilizer to it?
You can, but it has to be very diluted
What kind of peperomia was that? The plant that looks like it had long thin leaves popping up?
Becky which one? The first at Lowes was little toscani and the second was obtusafolia. Hope that helps!!
I tried to get the app and they went 699 a week there’s a free trial but that’s kind of crazy
I would have gotten Noah’s ark tea pot as a cover pot so unusual
💚
Check Lowe's food and food lion for plants! I found a large syngonium confetti for 20$
Wow!
Did you say the app was free? Or did I misunderstand ? I downloaded and it said it has a yearly fee.
