''The Lonely Pirate'' is a hauntingly beautiful ballad that tells a story of a lonely pirate who is sailing in a stormy sea, while his lover waits for him anxiously at home. The lover is singing a lullaby for the pirate to help him feel comforted and to encourage him to return home safely. However, the siren's whispers are also present, trying to lure the pirate away from his lover and into the dangerous depths of the sea. Sometimes, I stare out at the water. It doesn't matter weather it's a river, lake, or pond. I stare out over it and feel compelled. Every fiber of my being simply wants to walk into the current. To the waves, or the stagnant depths. I fear the day when I will finally see the ocean with my own eyes for this reason. I am almost certain that there will be no way for me to return once I feel called to the sea.
Don’t fear the call of the sea, for when it calls, it’s terribly hard to resist.
Coming from Australia, the ocean is truly the most magical thing. I would sit on the rocky shores and stare out across the waves until the sun went down.
I really, really recommend it when you can. South Australia is a beautiful coastal town to visit. 💙

We spent a week visiting Intacara and Pueblo Viejo with CHOICE Humanitarian, working side by side with the wonderful people here. We helped paint and improve their community center and reservoir surroundings, and they taught us how to make tortillas, jam, and sugar from sugarcane. It's been a life changing expedition for all of us! 🎉

I don’t want to think about sirens due to them singing songs to drown you, so when I listen to this kinda music, I think of a kind ocean sprit, or a mermaid that’s is like Ariel (well Ariel is more peaceful and is not a siren). And I think of them singing songs to keep me calm from what is going on in the background.
