The apparent ease that Fischer employs to demolish top grand masters never ceases to astound me. Move by move, step by step, with a precision and accuracy that leaves the opponent without an option.
On the chessbrah youtube channel, they have a king's indian rating climb. GM Aman plays the king's indian attack with white and the king's indian defense or pirc with black. This king's indian attack vs the french structure with the e4 to e5 pawn push comes up a few times during that video series.
The French Defense is very complex. Tons of ways you can reply to it. Best thing to do is learn one variation at a time then decide which one you like better. Relying on content creators to tell you how to reply to the French is not a good strategy. A comprehensive video would need to be hours long.
I struggled against the French Defense until I watched your original video of this game. Once I got comfortable with the structure of the King’s Indian attack, I went from being nervous seeing the French, to welcoming it.
@@preciousamaechi689 you can use the King’s Indian Attack against the Sicilian too, Fischer did when he was younger. It gets them out of comfortable lines
I'm going to learn this KIA system. I've been playing the Steiner 1. e4 e6 c4 which too often liquidates into a drawn endgame. I struggle against these fianchetto systems as black so it seems the KIA would be a good all-around solution for me.
Fischer's e5 pawn was the real powerhouse of this game. It controlled the center for white and helped anchor the bishop and supported ideas with his knight. And speaking of fundamentals, notice how black's position began to diminish rapidly right after he put his knight on the edge of the board...
Just a note to say Thank You to God for creating Agadmator. You're both my heroes. I don't think I could survive in a world without Agadmator Chess Channel.
Its always funny when you have to really convince us that one of fischers opponents really is a strong player because fisher was just so dominant during his day and very few players could LOOK like they were a strong player when playing against him.
I hope this video reaches Mr Myagmarsuren so he can confirm or deny the story. I mean it sounds totally like Fisher to name his opponent "The Mongolian".
I am famously rubbish at names but have made chess GM's names a hobby. learned Lhamsuren Myagmasuren's name because of this encounter. Can type Nodirbek Abdusatarov without looking him up now too. My friend Mary is a Sicilian specialist, but cannot pronounce Ian Nepomniachtchi let alone spell it hahaha
@@slidenaway When the original name is in a different alphabet, then that makes said name often have multiple different ways of translating said name over to the roman alphabet.

It's just that chess culture is not very developed in Tunisia and hearing about such a strong tournament being held in your home town is definitely something to be proud of.
The opening is called the Kings Indian Attack and I have used it successfully against the French , Caro Kann and Sicilian since the pawn structures are very similar , I have also used it against E5 the structure is called Leonardis opening
Hey @agadmator. If possible, can you put the rating for the older games? (I dunno if it is possible or if you even have the ratings) But it will be amazing to know!
good game and good move with the bishop. But can you really tell? I would certainly not put it beyond Fisher to actually calculate that far ahead, but that particular bishop move is also a principled move. After black moves the rook to help out with the defense, White can also bring more pieces in and the best way to do that is to move the bishops down to get to the diagon alley unthreatened by prawns. I was more impressed with Fisher moving the knight early on to cause the pawns to move forward enough so as to later allow this bishop move. But that knight back-n-forth was quite early in the game and possibly more a product of theory than novelty?
Fischer to Myagmarsuren: This game is not about the pawn push to b4 for gaining the advantage, but all about converting to the Kingside attack you are unaware of...😊😊😊
Wow Quite the Checkmate from Fischer that was a classic pair of Bishops from hell Qxh7 a definitive chess puzzle moment Fischer’s games are very fun to watch Brilliant player Enjoy the Day
That had to be the most gratifying correctly-discerned pause-the-vid-moment I have enjoyed here. Thanks! I might have guessed that a queen sac was implied, I might have guessed that the white B was implied, but I failed to use those clues until after the calc, maybe next time.
#suggestion please make a video on that d3 move in French defence and plz cover the early attacking lines I was thinking about making a study about French defence but a video would be even better
“Bobby Fischers Light Square Bishop” has been my bar trivia name for 20 years.
The legend of that piece will never die
Pretty much

"Who are you playing tonight?"
""I'm playing the American"
In Mongolian chess, the ultimate achievement is to promote all eight pawns to horses, then storm the enemy's fortification.
It is only possible to a beginner player
You mentioned the possibility of a tutorial about countering the french defense.
A tutorial is never out of place.

Daniel Naroditsky also has a video where he plays and explains KIA against french, I think it was in "Master Class" speedrun.

The Sicilian was my bane
I’m a French player, so I’m always excited to play against the French

That last move is just so beautiful! 🤩
I like that Fischer's game is very interesting. Like watching a different version of Tal.
I saw someone on Twitter that said Bobby played boring chess. I was shocked by that claim
Really like this game, how Fischer set up that checkmate with Bg2, to sac the queen and leave The Mongolian in shambles.
Fischer was deadly with the bishop pair.
Man the Sousse Interzonal of 1967 lore keeps thickening 😂 love your stuff agadmator! 🎉
Love the idea of remaking old videos now that your overall quality and understanding improved a lot.
@ 5:08 "..a move your uncle would play". Really funny. That and "I'll show you disgusting engine line" are my favourite Agad's sayings.
Fischer's e5 pawn was the real powerhouse of this game. It controlled the center for white and helped anchor the bishop and supported ideas with his knight. And speaking of fundamentals, notice how black's position began to diminish rapidly right after he put his knight on the edge of the board...
A terrible move, not something a GM today would play
I see GM and engine play knight on the rim sometimes, although they usually dont keep it there long / its used to reposition
I most definitely love these classic games. I would very much love to see all the great Tal games
Praise to agadmator for correctly pronouncing his name and this is a legendary game agadmator is goated🎉
maybe agadmator is trying to do it on a daily basis for the Armageddon of the Norway World?

Brilliant combinations as usual by the greatest American ever over the board
Amazing game by Fisher. Lots to learn in this one.

quite possibly my Favourite ever Fischer game!
I wanted to know when it was a completely new game :(
Not sure what move of the game numerically but Agadmator did say Knight to a5 from Mr Mongolian was a rare move
After Na5
Bobby giving a masterpiece. And I found the move ,thanks agad
Brilliant move!! Bg2 is certainly at the genius level!
Never overlook the power of a slow move.
Fischer - Benko also has similar themes. Specially the dark bishop sacrifice, the knight and the light squared bishop.
When it comes to names pronunciation you never miss🥺🥺👌👌keep it up bro
That bishop g2 was spectacular ❤
That’s a strong position. Wow!
Absolutely amazing!!
"At the time this game happened he was 29"
Wow, he looks really ba-
"I just don't have a younger photo of him"
Yeah, that makes more sense.
I enjoyed both (The fight on paper and the fight on board).
Bobby was a beast to fight.
by far one of my favorite chess games
I LOVE BOBBY FISCHER
I’m a simple man. I see Fischer. I click.
Very enjoyable game, Antonio! I struggle quite a lot against the French, would be thrilled by a tutorial

Maybe because of this game many players today are not in a hurry to castle into such an attack as white gets here.
What a pitty that he's not alive and we cannot watch his artworks on chessboard anymore💔
Will we ever see a game where Fischer or Tal lose a game? I always root for the underdog.
