Advaita cannot be simplified like this, it is much more complex to understand Advaita or not two, I think not two is better than just saying everything is one, There is oneness and there also difference and diversity. Reality is one and that cant change because it is not two, but to say all is one is not correct.
How to understand this, this is the question and for this we need full understanding of Bhagavad Gita, under the guidance of true guru.
Purify your mind, surrender sincerity and clearly to the Atma, who resides within and as the substratum of all beings then only can it be known by realization which includes experience.
1) Brain & world etc exists. Just because you close your eyes doesn't mean they don't exist, you idiot.
2) Necklace doesn't exist unless intelligence of a person converts gold into necklace.
3) Mirage existed until closer inspection but water in the mirage never existed even before, you idiot.
4) Discovery of fundamental elements like quarks in gold don't disprove the existence of gold, you idiot!

Dvaita Vedanta of Shri Madhvacharya,Vishishtadvaita Vedanta of Shri Ramanujacharya and Advaita Vedanta of Shri Adi Shankaracharya are not different paths but these are the three different stages of one path to self-realization.
They are not stages but parts of the same equation. Sankhya = Advaitha (non dual Shiva) + Dvaitha (dual Shakthi). Shiva is Shava (corpse) without its shakthi and without Shiva nothing exists. So, Shiva and Shakthi always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen. Madavadharya and Ramanujaharya are part of colonial conspiracy or creations to promote Bakthi (blind) instead of Shraddha (trust with complete knowledge and understanding) so that it mimics Christianity. Original advaitha and dvaitha are much older than colonial historical creations and timelines

Advaita is actually very robust philosophy with logical arguments supporting each of it's claims. i am a proud Advaitian.

I will like to make more apt statement “Everything is not, one alone is”
I never experienced anyone but me. In practical experience there is only me, the separateness begins when I the viewer compare myself with the view. Now there's a catch for this subject and object phenomena is relative cuz in my experience I am the subject the universe is object but what I call me as a subject is object to other subjective self. So I am the subject and also the object yet it is the same I that only* see myself as subjective or objective appearance. But wait a minute is not all of this catchy ideas or perception or every whole thing is coming before me cuz I exist at this moment, if there would not be me, yes this little me where would be all this even where would be me. Just leave aside all the hodgepodge put into you and simply be at this moment you will know all this is like a marry go round in front of you, you never came and you will never go so you are nowhere right now everything and everywhere is in you. All the stars, moons, planets, space, time, gods and demons, everything you can imagine even all the things you can't even imagine is thankful to you for them to be imagined and experienced through you. but we can't be that right because if it is so then what's left to be done, it is so boring and simple but my friend what thrilling experience is there for a king is to be a king, what surprising it is to god that he is god it's normal and natural for him for everything that is gained or new is felt to be astonishing. Likewise how would you know that you are what you call god for you are always that and its normal not something extraordinary for you. Your normal so called boring state is the best prove of you to be that. But it is not satisfying and how could it be otherwise this serious life and death drama would be over and it would be a horrible entertainment less moment. When you say you are experiencing only you, it is due to the confusion caused by 5 senses and ego, You (immanent divine or soul) are falsely identifying with the thoughts and body. In Samaadhi, the subject/object split disappears. In other words, you (Immanent divine or soul or athma) get the cosmos as the body when your microcosmic human body merges with the macrocosmic- cosmic body in the form of Sanskrit vibrations (microcosm/macrocosm duality cycle happens).
Omnipresent divine (immanent and transcendent) is the observer and experiencer of both microcosm and macrocosm even though it is the non doer. Intelligent energy or Shakthi is the doer. When you (shiva) falsely identify with the thoughts and body due to 5 senses and ego, you wrongly conclude that you are the doer. It leads to likes and dislikes and karma or cause and effect plus reincarnation cycle (birth/death duality cycle)
Advaitha (non dual Shiva) is INCOMPLETE without Dvaitha (dual Shakthi). It is the reason why, Shiva and Shakthi always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen. Sankhya vedic metaphysics combines Advaitha and Dvaitha. It says that without the observer (immanent shiva), the observed (world/universe) cannot be perceived in its current form. Watch double slit quantum experiment.

Hear a sanskrit mantra like Maharmrityunjaya mantra without ego (or oscillation of thoughts) and focus for 108 times, you (immanent shiva or athma) would realize yourself by transcending or withdrawing the 5 senses as omnipresent shiva which is also called as Samadhi. In other words, the subject (you) and object (external world) split disappears.
Jnana yoga does NOT mean knowledge yoga. This is a wrong English translation. Jnana yoga was copied as Vipassana in Buddhism. Jnana can be practiced 24/7. It is like yoga off the mat. It is based on Sankhya vedic metaphysics which says that athma is the non doer (shakthi bound by karma is the doer) even though it is the observer and experiencer. Jnana + Karma yoga can be practiced together.

Advaita is only one presentation of VEDANTA . Others as given by Ramanuja, Madhvacarya, Nimbarka, Chaitanya, and others present the uncovered exposition of the Vedic Teachings. That we are not God but of the same quality as the Supreme, but not the quantity. God is great, we are small. Eternally.
Advaitha is not Vedantha..Swamy Dayananda (founder of aryasamaj) rejected Advaitha.Advaitha is a Confusion Theory Which was Created by Shankaracharya.
Arjun man advaita is not a theory created by anyone...it is the core idea of upanishads, but it has been intepreted in many ways...if you say that only dvaita or vishistadvaita is real and every other interpretation is wrong then you are doing blasphemy unto yourself...All philosophies are wrong and right at the same time because god cannot be expressed as a philosophy, but only direct realization can reveal him to us...how can you say that some philosophies or books can tell us about god.how can a book have the power to comprehend god?!!! So god is both absolute, we are equal to god and at the same time we are different from him...you cannot conclude which is right until you realize him so there's no point in arguing....if you can work upon urself to realize the truth....

It is the creative Shakthi or intelligent energy of formless and conscious divine which is both immanent and transcendent. So, Maya is absolutely real. Some followers of Advaitha wrongly interpret that Maya is the illusion through which Brahman falsely manifests as the universe.

Advaita basically translates to Non-dualism. Every component of the Universe is equal to the Universe itself, the Brahman. So, knowing even a single atom is equivalent to knowing the Brahman. This is the basis of Advaita.
This concept of Advaita Vedanta is really hard to grasp fully. I really liked the video yet would have loved it more had it explained taking a bit more time.

Dvaita Philosophy is an outshoot of the Vedanta Philosophy of ancient India. Dvaita (meaning dualism) Philosophy was propounded by Madhwacharya in the 13th century. Dvaita Philosophy proclaims that God and souls are different entities. Dvaita Philosophy is opposed to the Advaita Philosophy of Shankaracharya which believes in Monism (Non-dualism).
Madhwacharya is the one who strongly propagated the Pancha-Bedha tatwa and completely contrast to the sankaracharya's adwaitha, we believe the swatantro vyapthavan hari: always hari is supreme and we are always under lots feet of vishnu. If needed you will get good stuff from internet about our dwaitha philosophy. I am really thankful if you can make and campaign our madhwa philosophy of dwaitha(dualism) as well please it my humble request.

Do modern Hindus believe in Dwaita anymore, as far as I know all my relatives and friends are more of Advaita followers, the oneness of everything. I haven't come across any Dwaita believers .

Maya is the creative Shakthi of Shiva and it is absolutely real, so is your pain. Your individual pain becomes cosmic pain in Samadhi or Moksha (because Athman = Brahman). Not everyone who achieved samadhi can have the same experience or can have complete experience since there are different dimensions to experience. In Samadhi, one can read the past/present and future. Not all the gurus who achieved samadhi can do it.

When we say "oneness" it means the formless conscious divine is one (both immanent and transcendent or omnipresent). It does NOT mean Shiva (formless and conscious) = Shakthi (Intelligent energy) even though Shiva and Shakthi always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles to happen. So, money made of Shakhti does not reflect "oneness". Shakthi always leads to duality.
