How much are snare heads now? Wait... let me sit down first! lol The left hand work is paying off. That snare work is clean, and you know how that goes... either it is or it just isn't. Looks and sounds very even and well controlled. You ever do Shinedown's 'Cut The Cord'? I'm mixing a collab cover of it right now.
@@johnstrange6799 Ya it's unfortunate inflation has done some damage lol, luckily when I bought all my new gear recently I was able to get some really good coupons and pay less then retail coupled with selling off a bunch of gear I had sitting. I paid around $225 for all new heads reso and batter. G2 coated over g1 reso, kick is an evans heavyweight and an eq3 coated. Thanks for noticing, it is very much hit or miss when it comes to dynamic on the left hand for sure. I haven't checked that song out I'll have to give it a listen.
@@JoeDrums1 $225 is expensive no doubt, but also not really shocking for some reason. I guess since it's always been a bit costly to get new heads on a whole set (especially good ones) the sticker shock isn't that bad. The Shinedown song itself is good for what it is (Not really my cup of tea), but the drums aren't anything special or technical at all. SImple and straight forward which is okay as it's what the song calls for. I was just curious if you had ever done it because that band's style/genre seems in keeping with some of the other bands you do.

Well worth it though Im loving the coated heads plus it really adds to the new cymbal set. I feel you, as I get older I don't feel the need to overplay as much anymore. I've had my speed demon days 240bpm+ with a trigger and really just enjoy playing good music covers now a days.
