The fact that your fishing hole is more than large enough for a person to fall through is terrifying.

Never ice fished before, just thinking what if you clear some of the snow off of the ice around your tent to allow more light in, you could be able to see deeper

I fished lake tofte not far from moose lake. Ifished snowbank too. Winter up north is awesome..I used to drill 2 holes and connect them. And used a large bait net to flip the fish out of the hole. The rainbows are so beautiful..

Those stoves and heaters can flare up like that cuz if the slightest misthreading or damaged threads. Could even have been cold enough the metal contracted just slightly and allowed gas to escape.
