This car looks like a mix between a 1992 Maserati Ghibli (AM336) and a 1989 Aston Martin Virage, which is good company to have. I'm from the UK and a big fan of Cadillacs, Cadillacs are special cars. This Allante was ahead of its time and going from the promotional video a really well thought out and designed package for the Cadillac driver to enjoy.
I bought my 91 almost 2 years ago with 60 k miles on it. As an aging luxury car I knew that there would be some issues. There were some issues and they were dealt with and now it is a wonderful automobile again. It is a very special car.
RideswithChuck I have owned 2 Alantes, a white diamond 91 and then a flax (pale yellow) 93. Loved both of them. Still 2 of my favorite cars I have owned to date. Put over 100k miles on both of them before selling them. Been looking around considering buying a 3rd one. Never had any serious problems with either one they were both very good cars. The 93 was faster but i liked the 91 interior way more.
@@galil_6863 The Cadillac Allante is no different than any other aging luxury car or any other 30 yo car for that matter. I stayed away from the 1993 Northstar cars. I was too old to have to deal with rebuilding a motor. Check the brakes, air, stereo system and any problems with the driver's information center. In the past I have advised people to buy the best that they could afford and keep at least $2,000 in reserve for what ever happens next.
Back in September 1993 i was 17 years of age when i bought my Cadillac Allante.. The best cadillac i ever owned. It attracted pussy everywhere it went.. The northstar engine was powerful.. Ran great until i wraped it around a tree an then bought my ZR1 Corvette.
Kip William I had 2 Allante's and I never had any such issues with either of them and I put over 100k miles on both of them before selling them. Considering getting a 3rd one now. 2 of my favorite cars of the many I have owned over over the years.
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.:-((((
Beautiful car, but so much wrong on the execution and in no way a worthy competitor the Mercedes SL. 1. The whole Allant'e air bridge 2. The early years utilizing the HT4100 3. Why didn't they build it on a C4 chassis? All it did was further grind down Cadillac.
Kenneth Southard I have owned 2 Allante's and 2 SL's and from my experience I completely disagree. I loved all 4 cars but actually preferred the Allante's a little more over the SL's and I did love them a lot also.
I own a 1993 Allante and have no complaints. Thank you,
I just bought one 93 Pearl white, love the car.
I loved both of mine.
Best car ever. You have to love them as they love to be driven, not garaged. I have a 93. Like a tank. A strong, fast tank.
I have an 88. They are cool cars, but far from the best ever
@@caddi70 I know. But they're super rare and there's nothing like them. That's what I really meant.
Cadillac Allante the autentic spirit of Cadillac
Anyone else vibin to the music? 🕺💃🏾

I'm looking into buying one. What are the issues to look for?

Also a hint of Aston Martin V8 Zagato
It said this was brought out to complete with the Mercedes roadster which was dying off at the time this car was introduced 🤦🏻♂️😔
2:16 is that guy smoking while assembling the car?
W o W , How things Have Changed ! !
Does anyone know or can find out...WHAT IS THE SONG BEING PLAYED TO THIS VIDEO?!?!
They were a beautiful car,,, but tail lights always fogged up. Many were lemons with endless electronic issues, leaky roofs.
Did you own one?

You would think for that price they would at least have painted side mirrors. But nope just cheap black plastic.
I like it, but i hate convertibles. I would never own one because of that.
1:58 I don't think that meets dress code sir!
