Erase Part Of An Image In Illustrator

Erasing parts of an image is something that is typically reserved for pixel-based design applications such as Photoshop. However, thanks to the masking feature, this sort of thing is possible in a vector application (like Adobe Illustrator) as well. In this tutorial we’ll be going over a simple workaround that will allow you to erase part of an image in Illustrator.

it is because you need to add a brush tool, it says basic but that is not an actual brush. go to brushes and add a new brush

hey u might dont need this anymore, i hv a same probs and just figured it out T-T. u can see on the right edge of transparency box three little line, u can clik it and find show thumbnails, clik the show thumbnails

Make sure the color of the paint brush fully black, sometimes illustrator puts it like a kinda geryish color
