I locked myself out of my first airstream twice before getting those little black plugs! The second time was on top of a mountain an hour from cell service. Thankfully I had my InReach in my unlocked truck. Also recommend a lock box on the outside! :)
Great points to consider and not be frustrated about. I would like to add a thought to the appliances point. You are right that airstream is not responsible for the quality issues the appliances may have. However in my impression airstream tends choose cheap appliances, like the TV or even some valves like the plastic fresh water tank drain instead of using a brass valve.
All RV manufactures use plastic. It’s cheap and lightweight. Appliances are basically the same in all RVs and no RV manufacture is responsible for the appliances
Thanks for watching! The issue with the Tundra isn't so much the model, just that any 1/2 ton truck isn't capable of safely handling a 7,000lb trailer.
Interesting 7 things. We love our Airstream. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. -Jim & Michelle
Thank you! Hope to see y’all in the road sometime!
And we love ours too!

OH MY GOODNESS! That's crazy!

Good points! I think they try to consciously decide where it’s best to “skimp”. Thanks for watching!

Pulled several 7.5K trailers plus a Airstream 27FBQ with a Tundra for over 10yrs. No issues but truck cargo capacity was always maxed out.
You can tow what you can tow, but you can only STOP so much. Our tundra was over payload with just the tongue weight of our 27’.
There are a lot of different Tundras out there. It probably would have helped if you specified WHICH Tundra you had been using.

#8 has to be that Airstream’s make the pups tired.
It’s a fact! And they got a 3 mile walk 🤣
The first thing to do is walk away. It's ridiculous to charge that much for an RV. False virtue.
The beauty of the free market! I will say... You see a lot more 50 year Airstreams than Jayco's or Forest River's.
I'm on my fourth camper, an Airstream. Should have bought one 20 years ago...
