I was surprisingly allowed on russia in a bokoen1 game which never happens basically.

Why in most HOI4 MP games I see is China just an AI? Is that not unfair? Couldn't a competent Japan bulldoze through AI China even with Soviet volunteers?

I don't know the ruleset for these games or dates wars are declared on, but shouldn't it be the Japan player's job to make sure they can't get steamrolled while they're fighting China?
