Well said about asking permission. If they say no just respectfully move on. I also found most landowners are happy to see to see you/generous. Also good for peace of mind while trapping. Angry landowner can put a cloud over a good day trapping.

I think that the mentality used to be that you didn't want to give away your trade secrets. I cherish that I can now watch first person how the pro does it. Thank you for your channel my brother!

Asking permission can be such a buzz meeting nice people. Even if rejected, one soon forgets about it. You are so right, that keeping it legit is the best; gambling on sketchy access and sneaking around gets stressful quickly.

great check , you just gave us all kind of ideas on those deeper runs that were to deep for my h stands . found several lodges with the den runs in 7 ft of water .

Thank you for the videos and always learning from them. I actually used your setup to catch a nuisance beaver in the pond below my house that I missed in a castor set with a foothold. Set the run on the bank den with the swivel stick set and connected 2 days later with a nice 2 year old missing a toe that was in the other set.

so ... you reall think the beaver don't see wood coming ?... but there's a big ass STEEL 330 there that they are sticking there head in ... that little bit of extra 1/4" steel on each side from the H stand I can't see makes any difference ... and SO much easier to set and reset that sticks. But you're doing a heck of a job buddy ! Keep up the great videos !

You know that Minnesota nice, if you have coffee with that guy you’ll be there for an hour. My good old Norwegian/Minnesotan father in law could talk for hours if he had enough hot black coffee, doncha know.

I noticed tight together triggers on your 330’s. Is that to keep rats from setting them off?

How can you tell other than obvious sign that there is a bank den? I am trapping a property and there's a lodge and chewed sticks in the creek. But in the pond there's no lodges no trails or runs in the cat tails. Is there a way to be like oh there's a bank den . I'm not even finding castor mounds. I did see a beaver go into the water from the grass so I know there's beaver, but with all the chewed sticks I'd think there's atleast 6 plus beaver but only physically saw one
