I planned on watching the Olympic Women's basketball games this year, hoping to see CC get some play despite not watching the Olympics for a few years. So I'm not the best person to say but I know I won't be watching this year's Olympics now. Let’s just be honest here… Ever since the Olympics dropped the ‘amateur athlete’ requirement it has become more of a business than a showcase for the glory of sport. NBC just paid over 7 billion dollars for the rights to broadcast the Olympics through 2032. The Olympics is dominated by professional athletes. The main reason Caitlin Clark should be on the Olympic team is for her fan base and the draw she would provide for her sport. Forget about her being a great player. It’s about the money!

I planned on watching the Olympic Women's basketball games this year, hoping to see CC get some play despite not watching the Olympics for a few years. So I'm not the best person to say but I know I won't be watching this year's Olympics now. It's just boring, plus I refuse to support athletes who gain riches, sponsorships, and notoriety by the opportunities afforded by the freedoms of the US, who then turn around and refuse to stand for the Anthem and the Flag. Just not interested.

This is completely the fault of USA Basketball. The were given the charter to pick the women's team by USA Olympics and they totally blew it. The historic WNBA culture is rotten to the core and decades of needing to be subsidized by the NBA and the comments made about CC by the dinosaurs in the league reflect that. The new fans and sponsors brought in by CC are a chance to change that. And don't get me started on the terrible refs.

So why is this not happening in the US……?? Firstly the current Commissioner and the WNBA hierarchy must be fired….. The new Commissioners first job should be to re write the WNBA constitution. The US Is a world leader in many facets of life …… The WNBA as a United States National Sporting Entity…should be focused on the concept of equity for all.
