- It's been a while since I've uploaded because I work all the time now as a concrete mixer driver and I actually don't see trash trucks on route much anymore. This one just happened to be collecting at one of my job sites and I had a moment where I could watch.
So here it is, a brand new-ish Autocar Xpert with a Heil RL body doing some carts in Nashville, TN.
Great video! Looked like a fast crew
Nice to see one of these on video! Hopefully some make their way out to California soon
How do you like driving the S-Series mixers? hope no one at the job site looked at you sideways for this lol
I always get looked at sideways... However I just don't care anymore... I'm old enough now to blame it on my imaginary kids wanting videos. lol I love driving the mixer. It's one of the coolest vehicles I've ever had the pleasure to operate in my live.
That’s a rare Autocar Xpert Heil Rear Loader garbage truck this must be the only one of it’s kind combination but correct me if I’m wrong
Nice catch! Surprised they didn’t completely rebrand to GFL yet. There’s a really small rural outfit around here that Waste Industries bought, and when GFL bought them it wasn’t two weeks from the announcement that they had all the trucks restickered, half of them scheduled for the paint shop, and new uniforms distributed to employees.
I've been seeing the transition of the WI trucks. Some of them don't have the new stickers yet, most the WI rebranded trucks are still in the grey. Most of the dumpsters and roll off boxes have been rebranded however.
Whatttt. That’s pretty sweet. Might have to take a trip to Nashville. There’s quite a few things that are In TN that I want to catch. I know Red River used to do at least part of the city. I wonder if it’s a split contract deal. Or maybe Waste Industries/GFL has it all now. Love seeing more Tennessee stuff! Keep it up Bill!
Red River does most of the major Nashville Metro area in fact and they primarily use Mack LE/LR Durapack Pythons. They also use small Retrievers, and RL's. WI/GFL does some parts of it as does Republic, and WM. To be honest, the really interesting stuff is actually in the outer rim of the bordering counties. I see some of the strangest stuff out there.
MrBillT Didn’t know Republic and WM had some parts. That’s pretty cool. Oh yeah, there’s some really cool stuff out in the rural areas over there. TN hasn’t been documented very much, and I’m not very far so I’m definitely gonna plan something this year.
@@hunterdawg89 Yup WM has a decent size facility in Antioch, and Republic is near the MRF close to my company's Visco plant
Step out the garbage truck
There is some videos of Red River on my Channel. They service all of Union City on a contract and most of the surrounding county's on an open market type deal. They service Union City 5 days a week and use a new Peterbilt 520 New Way Sidewinder. If you are in the area Axel, Stop by Union City and we'll meet up sometime.
Awesome
Nice not a bad combo looks like lots of the carts lost the bar the toters where cool even though they are toters
Most of the carts in Nashville are Toters, and beat up ones at that.
I think every Toter in Nashville is beat up TBH.
@@jamesferguson4769 I'm sure those Toters are probably about 10+ years old by now, and given where many of them are residing I'm not surprised they are thrashed up.
I found some that were already beaten up in some the nicer neighborhoods near Vanderbilt University. Probably the pythons that they use. Don't know for sure, but that will be a fair guess.
@@jamesferguson4769 You would be surprised how far reaching those Toters are. During my travels around Davidson County I'll see them sprawling all the way from Antioch, to Joelton, to Bell Meade, to, the very edges of Williamson county. You'd be surprised how in excellent condition those things are in some of those nicer neighborhoods.
Nice video. How is life as a cement truck driver? Those have always been sort of interesting to me in addition to trash trucks. Hope things are going well. I'm looking out for updates.
Oh I love driving this concrete mixer! It's a front discharging 2015 6x6 4 axel Terex FD4000 with an MTU Diesel engine, a 6 speed Allison transmission, with an 11yd drum. Life in Tennessee is very satisfying. I never in my life thought I would be driving something like this, but here I am, and it's crazy what these can drive into and out of.
its not expert its expeditor
If you look up the Xpeditor it is a different chassis and cab this cab and chassis are the Xpert line the old chassis are Xpeditor
wow talk about being in the hood lol
David Schieler I live in Albuquerque that ant no Hood LOL
This is definitely not the hood 😂
Come down to Houston, 3rd ward. I'll show you what the hood looks like lol
Ha
While this IS near "The Hood" and "The Projekts" it is actually just a dirty neighborhood in the middle of proper gentrification.
