Absolutely awesome. I'm not sure whether I am more impressed by your smooth delivery or your obvious immense knowledge for one so young (at least you look very young). Great lecture.

Thanks for the summary, well done! I'd like to add one thing: You mentioned that the european court ruled, that laws of same sex marriage could not be imposed in a specific case involving austria because it's mainly catholic. I did a bit of research and I am glad to announce, that banning same sex marriage was ruled as unconstitutional, which means it will be legalized by the 1st of 2019 (:

Me too! It's really about time though. I was shocked to hear that it's not yet legal here ... and a bit embarrassed that i didn't know that before. I just assumed that it was. Lesson learned: Never take human rights for granted.
So thanks again for the nice data (:

Areas I wish you would discuss - in Criminal - Defenses and Contract - Mistake. Honestly i would like you to do lectures on all the elements of contract: misrepresentation, frustration Duress and undue influence - but this might be asking for too much. BTW thank you so much

I dont know enough English but I would try to ask you what I want to know: If I am arrested and sentenced to imprisonment illegally, Is ECHR able to obligate my country to release me from the prison instantly or it is only able to obligate the country to pay me some money as a compensation? thank

Thanks for the video lecture. Do you have similar video lectures on the African and American equivalent Covenants? the ACPHR and the COAS etc.? If not, do you know where I could find online video content that explains them? Many thanks.

    Hello,
On the ECHR website there is an opportunity to see at what stage of communication the complaint is. app.echr.coe.int/SOP/index.aspx?lg=en
Please tell me what `` Date of Introduction`` means?
Is this the date the complaint was filed or the date the complaint was received by mail by the ECHR staff?
For example: by mail, the dispatch date is 01.06.2020, and delivered to the ECHR on 05.06.2020. Which of these two dates will stand in place of the ``Date of Introduction``?
Thank you in advance for your response.
    Oksana

@@marcuscleaver But leaving the EU means it is easier to leave the Human Rights Convention if Britain desire to do so, isn't it?
Aren't EU members required to be part of the Human Right Convention or at least have to fullfill all conditions of the treaty?

i would like to say something about the so-called ECHR.therefore, that court is in the service of legally damaged EU citizens,
    1. so let’s say that when you send an e-mail to the ECHR to explain what the problem is, that court will not consider it, because the ECHR does not provide legal advice.2 if you go to strasbourg look for a lawyer to explain why you came and what to do and it's pretty complicated
because in Strasbourg you have to make an appointment, and the question is whether that lawyer wants to speak English (I tried this myself).
and let me just tell you the experiences of lawyers in my country with the ECHR (researched by two journalists). In 2018, out of 139 lawsuits filed with the ECHR, only 3 were considered by the court.
Prominent Croatian lawyers, with experience at the European Court of Human Rights, jointly stated in the Croatian Journalists 'House that the court in Strasbourg is just a place for destroying documents', numerous Croatian media noted at the time.
As many as 97 to 98 percent of lawsuits that come to the court for human rights from Croatia are rejected at the outset, ie they are declared inadmissible. Thus, lawyers in Croatia are generally accustomed to receiving rejections from Strasbourg, but in addition they are already accustomed to not receiving explanations of the decision on inadmissibility, which is contrary to the Convention on Human Rights, in addition to brief information.and just to consider how much the lawsuits filed with the ECHR cost,
so for ECHR I can only give a thumbs down

We live in the Medieval Town of Rhodes. This has World Heritage Status and I am about to write to them with regard to regulations regarding the standards required( if any) to have this status maintained. But my questions pertain to another problem. Permission has been granted for a person to open an all night, open air club attracting over 500 youngsters each night. Music starts at 12.00am and continues throughout the night severely affecting the community of inhabitants in the Old Town. A group to protest this has been formed and I feel our rights as citizens are being violated, I notice every person has the right to respect for private and family life, home and correspondence, or the right to peaceful enjoyment of property. The Police are ineffectual and the Mayor has done nothing to alleviate the situation. It seems there is nothing we can do to end this. The old town is a living place not just a monument and there are families with young children living close by. People cannot sleep and are becoming stressed and very frustrated with it all. Comments and advice very welcome. Could I write to the European Court? This is noise pollution and I wonder if there are any European statutory restrictions on this too. It seems nothing can be done here. Don't I have the right to a good night's sleep?

+APOLLO GUESTHOUSE Your best course of action is to bring a case in your local court against the Regulations and to raise human rights arguments as part of that (enjoyment of property etc.). Explore whether there are local or national rules about acceptable sound levels and remember to gather evidence and keep records about all of your actions.

Thank you very much for your reply. We have a meeting with the Mayor next Wednesday. Fines are imposed by the authorities but the bars and clubs just pay them and then start over again. People are angry that inspite of protests nothing ever seems to change and there is a feeling of powerlessness. However your comments point us in some direction as we were considering appointing a lawyer. I can certainly try to find out about legislation if any on acceptable noise levels. I appreciate your time and consideration of this matter. M Holland
