This chain squaking reminds me of when I was first working as hand faller,I had older saws that were a pain to keep running and I got guys telling me to quit wasting my money on junk and go buy a port work saw ,I did morethen my quota most days. I found out the only builder of saw worth any thing was one willing to come out and work a day with you to rpove his worth. So glad to see a young man and his father working together and being productive.

Tin man, Red Beard, Gordy from West Coast Saws, Iron Horse all seem to make some great hop-ups or ported saws.
John’s saws look to be some real rippers. Any one running nitro and turbos is interesting.
Donny Walker. He’s one of the old school best -I think…
One of my favorite saw builders is Hotsaws101 out of Nor Cal. Cuts a lot of Redwoods. Has different grinds for coast wood and inland wood.
I should make videos about my wood cutting. Small trees in the high desert. Sand sand = dull chain dull chain

For as much as you are in the mountains, I’m surprised you haven’t seen a BF.
But it’s the same for the guys who worked all theirs lives in the mountains in Hoopa (CA). Many of them “say” they haven’t seen one.
But they become pretty uncomfortable when talking about them. And seem to rather change the subject.
Others get real uncomfortable when talking about little people!
To me both are demonic demon types that need to be handled via the Lord Jesus Christ!

All the chainsaw drama is great entertainment for sure! Sometimes I open my mouth maybe when I shouldn't but it's entertainment lol. Far as Aaron I'm with you as far as the best as I'm going to send him a 550mk2 to build for my firewood saw because I'm broken and can't handle the heavier saws anymore and he will make the 550mk2 stout enough to handle a 24in bar but not take away any life from the saw.
