This was the first appearance of Kryten played by David Ross. Kryten returns later in season 3 played by Robert Lewellyn. Perhaps you seen Kryten as a compilation clips video maybe ?. Great watch, many thanx.
I'm glad you're continuing this on, I binge-watched the first season reactions the other day and I'm excited to see you watch future episodes. Some of which are famously great in the Red Dwarf community.
Thanks I am looking forward to all 12 seasons three million years into the future and lost in space I can't wait to see what adventures this motley crew encounter
This was a different actor to the Kryten you might have seen in other episodes, they are still tweaking aspects at this stage but the show was popular, there were viewers and to cut a long story short there is now a cult following, Like i said before on a previous reaction these first two installments of the series are merely character building, this sit com will make you laugh and make you think out of the box with some of the plot lines.
I think this was the introductory Kryten. One season only. The character will evolve into the much more recognisable version 2 in the not too distant future. You have a cool reaction style Sir.
This was probably the best comedy show that BBC 2 ever produced. Was so sad to see the last episode but by that time, you just saw that the show had lost it's way.
Yes, I agree. BTW, This puny Crighton was soon replaced by a guy called Robert Llewellyn, a comedy actor who you may remember from previous episodes. Check out an episode called QUEEG.
Hi Guys

@@ChrisNation667 I think The early days of Roberts (Kryten) always reminded me of Herman Muntster, especially the laugh and the walk.....

When Robert lewellyn takes over the kryton part in s3 ,krytons character really takes off 😅🤣
I can't wait
You are watching the birth of Kryten, this episode is how his personality as you know him got started.
Kryton comes in 3rd season full time with a different actor
Yup
They find him crashed on a planet and had to rebuild him but were unable to restore his original personality

The premise of the show allows almost anything to happen
and that's going to be interesting

I was a little confused by Kryten
I am glad to hear that he returns

It is very funny even if I miss some of the joke
and I guess after you run out of ideas and enthusiasm
