  • Tilli doing what Tilli loves best… digging! Aardvarks have a great sense of smell, large claws, and powerful nails that they can use to track down tasty insects. They also use their long, sticky tongue to slurp up bugs. This is Tilli’s longest burrow she’s dug at the Zoo - 10 feet long with a small hole to stick her cute snoot out. The adorable 18-year-old aardvark is definitely diggin’ her Close Encounter outdoor habitat. Tilli has surpassed the median life expectancy of 14.7 years for aardvarks in human care and will turn 19 this September.

Who needs a TBM when you have a Aardvark... That hole could fit a tube station if it keeps going at that speed...

Wish people would teach their kids appropriate behaviour. Nocturnal animals with giant ears don't love being shrieked at, I would have thought that was obvious.
