But on a more positive note, I'd like to say something about my relationship with the "Goddess". William has said that if you do the HF meditation you will, from time to time, experience a unique Experience. It has happened to me three times (I meditate a lot), and in my unique Experiences they always begin by me going down into a grotto that's in complete darkness and full of warm water, and the feeling I get from this grotto is the Goddess energy. It's like a velvety black womb of unconditional love. That's my feeling-memory of the Goddess. Infinite protentional and black, velvety love. I really like the Goddess energy.
My two cents: I'm not a person who appreciates or supports symbolism. Symbolism is meaningless to people who don't know what that symbology means, and symbolism is ENTIRELY subjective. It's one of the reasons I don't care for religion. I don't care one whit if Catholics think the wine they drink and the wafer they eat is actually Yeshua's body and blood. It isn't. It's some wine and some bland white wafers. I don't care if Hindus think the many arms of Vishnu represent all the actions he can take to end suffering. I don't care if Native Americans burn sage to offer their thanks to the animal world. What I care about are real, tangible things that make real difference. Reiki is REAL. It is not symbolic. It is not a religion, it is not a belief system, and the only symbols in Reiki are actual real energies in symbol form. They are not metaphorical. So, while I respect the traditions of all cultures, I don't give them any more weight than I do the creation myths that are so prevalent in all traditional societies. They're myths and superstitions. I will admit that there can be valuable truths hidden within myths and rituals and stories, and there can be great gems within them, but I don't think they have anything useful for me, personally. I like real things, not abstract symbols. That's just the way my mind works. It's like in Animal Reiki. I don't use, practice or pass on the Invocations because, to me, they're really just guided meditations where you only get out of it what you put into us. They are all about symbolic guidance and are subjective. Instead, I focus on Experiences, Placements and Ignitions because they are real. Energy comes in and actually changes, heals and empowers students and makes a real difference, independent of what they believe or understand or have previous knowledge of. I like real things, not abstract symbolism. That's just how I feel. O.o

I like it too!
