We first came up with the concept of the FN Pen 1.0 after watching John Wick and being inspired by his creative use of a #2 pencil. After a year of painstaking design and prototyping, we developed/tested/patented the world's best tactical pen. When we launched the FN Pen 1.0 we ran out of stock within hours. We took that as our sign to start work on the FN Pen 2.0.

You need a way to store at lieast one other tip. Now, what con you do, with penetrator tip, when using grafit one?
why would you make it screw on ? and not another type of locking mechanism. maybe push the eraser down which releases the lock know what i mean?

This video made me prefer the 1.0 honestly. This seems a bit pointless if I need it for its original intent but have the wrong tip installed. If they want to make an actual writing utensil just make a dedicated one and not a jack of all trades, masters of none hybrid.

Any designs on adding a pocket clip? I realize that may detract from the pencil like aesthetic, just easier to EDC this way.

As a writer and artist you got me good. The Zebra F-701 has been my go to EDC for years but having a pencil and pen in one all metal build is a dream come true. :) I am definitely ordering a few.
if you dont mind heavy rotring 600 3 in 1 is my daily pen/pencil. Although i wouldn't recommend that sort of mechanical pencil for art
@0 Looks pretty good, if they had a .7mm or better yet a .9mm that would be great, I prefer those for getting some variation from a mechanical lead.
Very cool writing instrument. For the next evolution, i suggest a textred, no-slip grip for a firm hold when it gets wet; like if one gets the inspiration to write in a rainstorm.
Just got mine, with one of each tip. Wondering how to safely cut the Fisher cartridge down to size for installation.
Also got a Fat PP, and am awaiting my second package of the FN Pen desk stand and pocket clip.
v3.0 feature requests: have the ability to screw in different tips for each end. Maybe you want graphite on one end, and window breaker on the other.
I think a great idea would of been to make the metal tip(window breaker) in the form of a clip like most pens/pencils have. It might have to be a little bigger then normal pen clips but could definitely be done I’m sure. So when you want to use the window breaker or scribe or whatever you need it to be. You could flip it 180’ and be parallel with the pen and have it lock into place. So then you would have it obviously be long enough to go pass the edge of the pen so it would be effective. Don’t want it tooo long tho just barely past the eraser so it could make contact with the surface and not damage the pen itself. Then fold it back into Normal position when done. And the tip would always be attached just imagine the clip molded so it could have a very small point on it. The clip would have to kinda flat pretty much like any type of blade.

I think a design that's made to be a functional lead holder would be really neat.
A super robost 2mm clutch mechanism that holds very securely. Then make a Tungsten Carbide tip, graphite lead, and D1 pen refills that can be stored in a back compartment. Properly fitted, so there is no rattle when stored.
Same eraser on the back, with a twist locking mechanism on the plunger so you can use the eraser as cushion/leverage without releasing the clutch.
I have a feeling the lock at the rear could wear down over time. So you could either make a threaded clutch mechanism, or make the entire clutch a "tip" option like the tungsten and pencil ones.
You should make a 3.0 that is mainly an ink pen with the same astetic and similiar features. The ink pen is a nice bonus in this version but having to unscrew the cap multiple times for repeated use is not good for fast in and out pocket use. Definately the best graphite tip pen out there though.
Guys seeing as such tactical pens are illegal in the UK (and no doubt elsewhere) the very ordinary look is excellent, however, from a self-defense perspective, what would be great is having the tungsten tip hidden under the top cap (opposite the writing end), so if needed quickly then the top cap could be removed with a quick single turn (perhaps also magnetized for extra hold) to expose the tungsten tip, which would then not be obvious under casual inspection. What do you think?

How do you sharpen the pencil tip if its not a push graphite tip?
What this needs, is a cap. a very simple plain cap that could easily magnetically attach to the rubber end when not in use.
the graphite tip reminds me of the sun star metacil pencil that uses a metal alloy so that it can write but wont wear down easily

I work with wood a lot and would love to try this out, any chance there will be precision pencil tips for marking lines very close to a ruler gauge? Some other ideas that come to mind are stylus tips (maybe for Android tablets, ipads or surface pro devices), perhaps even a calligraphy tip. Personally, Id choose this as my go to if more tips were available like these. Great product and design!
I have to keep track of all the tips? The only time I’ll need a glass breaker is when I’m near a car so do I have to keep the other tip at home and then find it later? What pen doesn’t have a clip? People who use pens keep it in a shirt pocket. But it’ll fall to the sides without a clip
If I don’t want the graphite tip, then do I just have a pen with an eraser? I wish I had the option to get the 1.0 cap….

super curious on the design choice. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the penetrator part under the cap instead of the pen? I figure you'll be using the pen part way more than then penetrator.

Would love an option accessory of a "pen cap" . The sharp tip makes this not a good item for pockets or bags that might get...penetrated. Ideally, I'd carry this around in a pocket with a cap on it.
would be really awesome to have an ability to use a 2mm lead core in place of the pen cartridge for the sketch artist types, like myself XD

How are you supposed to sharpen the graphite tips? Do I just have to deal with a blunt tip or swap it out every ten minutes?

Same here, warped the threading trying too hard and now cap won’t go on. Still no clue how to put a refill in.

i think the graphite might be the one problem I have with it, how would I expect that to last with normal amount of use? If I may suggest iv seen people make metal pens that write with a metal tip, if that's something that could prolong the lifespan of a tip that can write I would very much like to see it.
