- This is my 1966 Chevrolet C10 patina truck that I built. I'm running a LS 5.3L with Comp Cams Thumper Cam and I ported and polished the heads. Custom air bag suspension front and rear.

These are the headers I am using www.speed-engineering.com/ls-longtube-headers-1-3-4-a-body-c10-truck-universal-swap-conversion-ls1-ls2-ls3-ls6.html
Nice build brotha💪🔥,
I'm about 1/2 a year out on completion of my 64 and you just got the juices running to get out and work on it every second I can. Bad ass truck bro . Leave the doors white or paint the whole truck. It is what it is and it IS cool !!!
I am with ya im supposed to have mine next week .these videos are almost torture lol i also have a 64
That is one sweet truck. A lot of work in there that most people on the road have no idea lol. I just picked up a 66 swb I’m starting on. Pretty excited.
Killer truck Robby! .....keep those mismatch doors
Thanks dude! Everyone seems to agree about keeping the doors
The off colored doors make it stand out! Awesome truck buddy
Sweet! Can’t wait to come down and take a ride in it
Love the truck and everything you have done..
Sick truck. I always wanted to do a truck all rustic like that but my gpa’s C10 that he gave me was repainted horribly.
Man that thing is freakin awesome!!!!
Nice build man, truck sounds healthy with the cam! I got myself a 96 Chevy single cab with a 6.0lq9 from 04 ss and Texas 225/228 cam & 5/6 drop
Who did your tune?
Cordes performance
Sick truck bro.
Awesome build 👍
Man that's nice right up my alley
Sick truck
Love this truck you have done an amazing job I just subscribed to your channel I'm really looking forward to new videos
Keep the white doors boss. Nice truck
Very nice!!
My buddy has a 66 slammed as well his was done by low boy customs in Mesa. You might know my buddy they call him Gordo he has a black 66 flat black with classic 22in steelies
I'm sure I've seen the truck but the name doesnt sound familiar. I know Todd pretty well though.
Nice truck I think I would letter the door
Agreed, and do it in that blue itll flow better
Beautiful
Sweet
god I miss AZ.......
Freaking gorgeous
I love this build, what or where did you get the dog dishes at?
I think I got them from summit racing
Your instagram doesn't show any posts. Id like to see more of this truck!
I sold it
@@RobbyVsGarage awe bummer. I'm about to sell my crx Ive owned for 14yrs and built from the frame up all myself to start on my 66. Really liked yours.
I love your engine bay layout very clean. I'm in the infancy of a LS build for my 66 C10....What radiator, and accessories brackets are you using? What engine mounts and perches?
are you using a stock ECU/Harness?
Champion radiator, dirty dingo accessory brackets, engine mounts were custom, stock computer with a PSI conversion harness.
Who built your chassis I'm buying my friends 64 gmc long box in dec of this year and want my shit to lay frame and I live in Canada so it sucks for ratrod builders here
Well beautiful ride brother
I built it myself. Look at Choppin Block or GSI machine and fab for chassis parts
😎😎😎😎😎
Great looking truck. I am building a 65. Going coil overs and have an opportunity to buy the GM Steelies. I won’t be as low as yours. What did you need to do to make the 22’s work?
Automatic like the video with out looking at it all but she clean 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thanks brotha!
What mufflers are these?
What engine mount , headers , ls swap kit did you use. I’m wanting to purchase mine for my 1966 just want to make sure the kit I buy don’t have any clearance issues. Also what ac compressor relocate kit did you use. Awesome truck man. Hope you can help me with my questions.
I didn’t really use a kit. I made most of my mounts. The headers are speed engineering c10 swap headers and the ac compressor mount is from dirty dingo.
Nice truck what size are those rims? 👍👏👏👏
They 22" gm transport wheels
Thanks they're awesome👍
Hey man what would ya say you spent to buy the truck before mods? Wanting to do same thing and don’t know what a real price should look like.
Beautiful truck man!
I traded a gun for this truck that was worth about $300. Not sure if that helps you
Robby V's Garage
What kinda shape was it in? Driveable? Rust?
Thanks for the feedback
What did you have to put the transport wheels on?
Nothing, they fit but I had disk brakes
350HP??????
nice truck... what wheels are those?
Gm transit or transport wheels
Nice truck.. Are you using stock oil pan or low pro
Gm performance muscle car pan
Thanks bro
I wanna know how y'all make her sound like that is it the pipes or the camshaft or.. . ...
It's an aggressive camshaft that makes the lope sound.
Where u got the mirror from
sick truck man. I have a 66 C10 with the same front suspension and an LQ4 from an 03 express van. What headers are you running?
They are Speed engineering c10 swap headers, long tube headers. They are one of few long tube headers that dont extend below the frame rail. I highly recommend them.
Thanks!
@@RobbyVsGarage Awesome man.. I was worried about buying those long tubes from Speed Engineering. Looks like ill for sure get those..
Got the part number? Thanks
Did u wire up your front turn signals? I have a 5.3 in my 64 and they did away with the stock fuse box and I don't know where to connect my front turn signals
Also I'm curious about your trailing arm setup if you could give me any info on this I would be grateful..did it come in a kit if so where did you get it
I made everything in the rear. The trailing arms are 2x2 square tubing 3/16" thick with bushings in the front. This 2 link setup works but is not the best design. Not a lot of articulation flex, acts like a giant sway bar in the rear.
@@RobbyVsGarage thanks for the info I'm probably going to convert mine to stock trailing arms and go from there or possibly a 4 link.. do you think the 8 inch step notch was a necessary part of the build to get the truck that low bc I have been looking at the mini notch but I dont have anything to really go by as far as a reference plus I'm not that good of a fabricator 😒
What lower hose are you running? I’m having a hard time finding one that fits. Thanks in advance!
I don’t remember. Probably a cut up parts store hose. Sorry
Hey robby im swapping in a 5.7 vortec into my 65. By chance do you know if i need special motor mounts?
www.speedwaymotors.com/CPP-6372MP-SM-1963-72-Chevy-C10-Truck-Engine-Mount,268489.html. these will get you swapped in
What kind of headers are you running, building one similar and I want to make sure I get something that clears my rack and pinion setup and also clears the frame
These are the headers I have www.speed-engineering.com/ls-longtube-headers-1-3-4-a-body-c10-truck-universal-swap-conversion-ls1-ls2-ls3-ls6.html No fitment issues at all. Minor trimming required if running a 4l80e trans.
Hey Robby its Andrew do you have to z notch front or rear end to get that low on the 22s buddy please i i really need to know if you dont mind
Yes you have to do something front and rear. I have a dropmember in the front, basically it moves the suspension up higher than factory and a lower profile engine crossmember. Then I have a 9" step notch in the rear
@@RobbyVsGaragecool man sorry im just nervous about all of this and i really wont my truck to sit like yours where did you get the lower crossmember
@@MrDrewdown49 the place I got mine from no longer sells them but you can get a similar set up from companies such as porterbuilt fabrication, gsi fabrication, or choppin block
@@RobbyVsGarage alright nice man thanks alot robby would i still be able to run factory steering box with steering components or do i have to run power steering like yours
@@MrDrewdown49 you would have to convert to rack an pinion like mine. It's very involved to get that low on big wheels.
What efi system are you using?
Stock ecm
100th subscriber I think ...
Thanks! Appreciate the support. Share with your friends!
Robby Vision got it bro
Are you running the gauges off of the ls computer?
I have dakota digital gauges. It's a mixture of sensors they include and the ecu.
@@RobbyVsGarage Do the gauges sweep when you power them up?
@@plottchaser no they do not
for sale
It is for sale now
What air valves are you running?
Accuair vu4
@@RobbyVsGarage Thank you sir
