I really would like to have a 5 band HT that includes 2M, 1.25M, 70cm, 33cm and 23 cm with full APRS and GPS/GLONASS. Of course DMR, DSTAR, and C4FM/WIRESX for digital. That would rock.
First net is Useless in Puerto Rico because Tropical Storms always Take Out Cell Sites, Ham Radio Repeaters with US Military Standards can Survive these Tropical Storms!
I think that's awesome to see a tablet with a built in SDR, but I find the software kind of lackluster for the RTL chip. I know this probably sounds astronomical but would there be a possibility to run some Linux SDR software on this? I'd find it especially useful if GNURadio could utilize this since it's all put into one package.
You obviously don't understand how Android works as it uses the Linux kernel at the core. The difference is is using Google special user space rather than GNU like you'd see in a normall distro. That is, Android / Linux versus GNU / LINUX.
@Comrade Vlad I can't argue this time, your points are spot on. It's why projects like Pine are stuck with HW 3 or 4 generations back. Stallman was right as usual.
this product is actually a tablet with wide range radio receive capability, I think it is little bit weird. If it is a functional transceiver with big touch screen and data processing ability that would be a different story
oh wow thats really cool! i wonder if you could diy the tablet with an rtl sdr and actual "phone" with a tablet display and a maybe a baofeng radio circuit. that looks so cool

"O.J. Bronco." Hilarious!
I’ve had the B1 for a long time and I love it!! Hi Bob!!
Looks like the B1 is not quite a mature product yet but it’s getting close. Maybe something to look at for for the cold winter ahead.
The FirstNet version will be awesome. I can't wait!!! I have a Black Sim waiting for it !!!

$1,399. is insane. Would really need to do a proper review and see the noise levels.
Man that would be my dream rig as a new guy.. What an awesome Idea !
How does it do DMR on Android?

Or just a degoogled version
Bob is a cool dude .
Why was there a gap between the antenna and radio?

You can use Sdrunoe that have a scanner Fountain,
What's the lowest frequency that can receive? I would love it if it went all the way down to 50 kHz.
Instead of rtl imbed a hack rf, it'll give more function for in vehicle use

What is the pricing on this
Sweet I like it love to own one⚡⚡
Man too bad they couldn’t embed an up converter module alongside the SDR module…. This could be able to do HF then as well
I prefer my Sdrplay RSP1 on a laptop.
Why not Windows 11?
Dig it!
I must be excited for that tablet because I just set aside $2000 for it
Nice
an RTL for that price??????????
I want to see you hold that up to your ear and make a call :)
Or just connect a handset.
Very tasty.
