This movie has been incredibly hyped over the last few months with anticipation (and nervous caution) being at an all-time high. Truthfully this is a sacred franchise with enormous shoes to fill. So, does this movie live up to the hype of the justified expectations of the fans?

Without the entire elevator scene …… also the hybrid look is a fail ……. Have to at least have the xeno shaped head ……

@@chrisponder961 my feelings too. I hated the use of the hybrid in act 3. Gave the Xenos a backseat for no reason other than studio interference forcing there to be a connection to Ridley’s films. Also - we saw this already with alien resurrection and no one like it then.

That’s a good point about the Ridley interference…… I’m a Prometheus fan ….. and I don’t mind the black goo story…..but it wasn’t needed here ….. the other problem is the use of the black goo…… so David created many of creatures and all have the classic elongated head ……. The Neomorph, the deacon , the protomorph, until now it looks like an engineer ….. doesn’t even follow along with its own rules ….
