My God: You said everything I have been preaching for years.... Your statements apply not only to SAAS products, but to anything one sells, even if they are nuts and bolts and pipes and metal. I have been very successful in my career simply by using this simple common sense method that you have elucidated.
All the non-sense trumpeting that the self-proclaimed sales gurus tout do not work -- as you said it just upsets people.
Anyway, I am happy that you have put this out in the public domain. Hopefully someone will listen.

Good advice, but one caveat: Although you definitely should pay attention, and do what you can to get all information first time, it's much better to ask a question to fill in something important that you missed, than to blunder on not knowing.
