Great quality video, just wish I had captured half of what I've seen them do live.

It was a pretty small venue so maybe kind of overpowered? Didn't really notice!

Yeah his drumming doesn't fit this band at all.

I think you're correct. Way too much going on there. Not at all necessary.

Lol I just commented on this and then noticed I'm not the only one who thought he sucks.

I'm sorry but the new drummer doesn't fit. I've been a fan of these guys since the beginning. He's playing to much, to hard. It just ruins the vibe of this band. I saw them live 2 tours ago and it was incredible. This guy is just overplaying.

This is amazing! Thanks for posting it. To anyone who doesn’t know, The Watchmen were a Winnipeg-based band in the early 90s through the early 2000s. Danny is a phenomenal singer, and did an a cappella song in every show. His voice is dynamic and you’d get chills listening to him bare his soul. He and Ian are good friends, and Danny even sang backup on Fields from the last BW album.
I live in Buffalo, NY and have seen The Watchmen at least 15 times over the years, BW around seven times, and the Thornley band three times.
I have no idea why these two decided to join up, in Phoenix of all places! (and, I love that city and go every year), but what a treat for the crowd to have seen Danny.
Do yourself a favor and check out their music. They were a staple at any Canadian music show I’d go to back in the day. In The Trees and Silent Radar are dynamic. Go listen!!!

What song is Daniel singing here? Saw them live in Ottawa on this tour and it gave me goosebumps!

@@Gregjdelahunty- Thanks for the update. I wouldn’t have known it. I do know that he does a lot of James Taylor and Tom Waits covers. My wife and I saw The Watchmen at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto in 2016 and he sang Three Martini Lunch by Graham Parker (not sure who that is). I think there are live versions of it on YT. Take a look for it. It’s awesome.
