Overlanding by Horse

This video is quite different to our normal overlanding videos, as it incorporates the use of horses rather than just vehicles.
A horse gives you the ability to go totally offroad without any track at all - and without harming the environment.
Terrain can also include hiking trails, "two spoor" and farm roads, major gravel roads and even tarred roads where a horse used to traffic is an advantage.
Because horse feed is quite bulky most multi-day rides are supported by vehicles, at least at the overnight stops. However, some of our hard core friends like to organize rides without any vehicle support whatsoever. In that case pack horses are often required.
My favourite rides are those where you visit areas that are not accessible by vehicle.
