Thanks for clearing that up regarding the battery. As the battery in the F64 is not user replaceable then there is no way I'll be touching the wireless version.
This inbuilt battery thing needs to stop.

I quite like having a rechargeable battery, but one that is not user serviceable gives the wheel a limited lifespan, given the expense that definitely seems a poor choice.

    Excellent info, thank you man.
I am currently running the F28, love the wheel but hate the rubber grips material as as it was far too slippery with my gloves on, and I had to maintain a death grip on the wheel. (I run an SC2 Ultimate at high levels which of course exacerbates the problem)
Fortunately I was able to swap them out with a pair of suede ones that I bought second hand from Will Ford, and the difference was night and day.
I am wanting to upgrade from my F28 to the F64 but I'm afraid that if the handles are the same material as they were on the F28, then I am going to have to go back to death grip mode, unless!!
Could you tell me please, are the grips identical (material aside) as in shape and fixing points, would it be possible that I could swap my suede grips onto the F64??.. it certainly looks like it from your very excellent split screen
Thanks in advance for any help that you provide

Hi Dave, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. What gloves are you using at the moment? - I'm interested so I can add that material to my tests. Was that the material from the original F28 you were using? If so, the v2 has a slight improvement on grip feel, but if you're already using that, then the F64-v3 is almost identical, so you'd have similar slip issues. Hope that helps!

Hi T, The gloves that I'm using are OMP First-Evo, they have been an excellent glove, super comfy and have lasted for ever!
I'm not sure what you mean by the "original" F28, how would I determine such a thing.. It came from the company that took over Ascher if that helps, so not one of the first early versions which were suede handled I believe.
My question, which you may have missed, is do the grips on the two wheels look identical in size and fittings? as if so I'll simply swap my suede ones onto the V3 and all will be golden... Thanks so much for your reply and your help.
      Regards from Australia

@@davewilliamson4493I can't be 100% certain without opening up the wheel but it definitely looks like the same grips. I'll see about grabbing those same gloves for my own testing, thanks for the info.

Hi mate, is the F64 V3 lighter or heavier than the F28 SC V2?

    • @Teqqlesdoessimracing
      @Teqqlesdoessimracing  4 дні тому

Slightly heavier. It has a fair amount more going on inside. It isn't a massive difference, at least I couldn't feel anything using the Simucube 2 Pro.

I have the F28 only I think because of cost at the time. In 🇨🇦 gear is super expensive. The f64 well over 1K to get here. Like well over. I really like Ascher products and own a few different plates of his.

Ouch, yes, I was over there recently and wanted to pop in to oogle some sim gear. Everything was seriously expensive! 🥺

Why on earth did Ascher put a non-serviceable battery in an otherwise perfect wheel ?

Good question, it'll certainly make life hard to get it replaced in the long term.
