@@jacobmartin3513 I personally wouldn't use the secondary crit rate shards, just because it scales off base crit chance, which is only 5% for balefire. 5 red shards would result in a measly 6.25% crit chance increase, 5 orange shards would be 12.5% but require a couple hundred kills with heat damage.
@@Einzweig 5 orange Taus is +374% which is around +18.5% crit but also the shards build stacks in tandem not sequence: fifty kills caps them all out. Still not sure I'd do it on a weapon with 5% base though...
@@tomj819 Apparently I was still living in the past, I tested it out on my hildryn, these archons used to be a flat increase way back before they patched it out as an "unintended feature" you used to be able to get balefire to red and orange crits with this method, sucks that they fixed this lol.

@@nguyenhuyduc9151 I'm well aware that it works on shields damaged. Combat discipline is to proc avenger from getting kills. Sometimes when enemies are all getting lifted by aegis storm, or when they just don't decide to target you, you don't get shot for avenger to proc. There also isn't any other aura mod that's necessary, so I don't think it matters to be using it for combat discipline.
this is actually a pretty good well thought out build overall. alternatives to radiation tho? is viral worth it since you're stripping armor anyways? or do you not use it because lack of prime mods
@@ShadonicX7543 I use radiation because of the primed mods. Base damage is the most important here since the status chance is so low, so I don't think going for a specific element is worth it. Just slap on whatever gives the highest base damage and decent firerate.

Go cry while I nuke with my balefire doing 4 shots doing 270k damage each without crits. Is there better options? Maybe, but hildryn is very survivable on every level and is much more fun than equinox/saryn/sevagoth nuking imo due to ease of use and energy constraints.
