Furious Parallel Race Between Two Trains : LHB Himgiri Express Vs. ICF Mayurakshi Fast Passenger

- A tremendous race between two trains : between ICF and LHB, between a passenger train and a Superfast train, between BRC HOG WAP-7 and HWH WAP-5, between Himgiri Express and Mayurakshi Fast Passenger.
The race begins from Barddhaman Junction. 02332 Down Jammu Tawi - Howrah Himgiri Express Special, running 25 minutes ahead of time, was slowly skipping Burdwan, while 03046 Down Rampurhat - Howrah Mayurakshi Fast Passenger Special also got green signal to proceed towards its next halt Bandel Junction. This is how the two trains began their competition. Though, primarily it was quite a quiet race, the climax was just a dangerous one. None of the trains were ready to lose the game for about 10 kilometers. However, situation and luck, the two uncontrollable things, judged their competition.

Two trains running in parallel is such a rare sight. Normally one train would be stationed for a duration . The other highlight was the razor sharp precision when the trains get on to the same track at 5.46
Exactly sir !! This is a rare sight in Indian Railways. However, this becomes possible when there are two Up and two Down tracks side by side. There are many sections across India where we find more than two tracks so that the congestion might be avoided. In this video both the trains are Down trains and they were running on the two different down lines. Anyways, thanks a lot for watching.

That was an offlink with Himgiri on that day. Two trains running paralley is common nowadays. Our train was on the Down line of the Barddhaman - Howrah Main Line, whereas Himgiri was on the down line of the Barddhaman - Howrah Chord line. This quadruple section starts at Saktigarh (SKG) and ends at Asansol. Thank you so much for watching ❤️

Very thrilling. What was the mindset of people travelling in these two trains. At some point I was afraid as to the Himgiri would come and hit Mayurakshi. Such was the excellent coverage. More enjoyable than Formula car races. Full marks to your coverage.

Mayurakshi Fast Passenger now runs with LHB coaches, so when was this video taken? Excellent video by the way!
I can see a Gordon and Spencer type rivalry going on between Himgiri and Mayurakshi's locomotives.
This video was taken in August, 2021. Mayurakshi is still running with ICF coaches. Even it's now an Expres train. Thanks for watching 😊😊☺️

Actually there's a TSR before Saktigarh for the chord line bound trains. I have seen many times main line bound trains Overtaking premium trains after BWN.
Exactly !! This happens frequently. Even the local trains also sometimes defeat the SF or Premium trains for the TSR. However, it creates an amazing parallel action. Thank you so much for watching.
Not TSR but for trains to run at 130 innchord line , they have to switch tracks at Saktigarh to reversal line . That's why , trains don't slow down if they continue on down main .
