Have to wonder.. How is CIG going to keep people from camping jump points and literally controlling an entire sector? I.e. like in Eve Online, large orgs will pretty much rule in areas not patrolled.. Which means many backers will lose access to a lot of sectors because of that... I hope CIG has some kind of plan because I thought originally, the idea was you would not exit jump points in the same spot thus it would be impossible to blockade one...
@@CrystalCatchaUK As I specifically said, in systems where there is no law. And my org is a Navy org but I have no intention of stationing ships in an outer sector just so other players can get through.. Where a pirate org will setup bases etc out there, any 'good' org would just be harassed constantly in a perpetual war.. And since the UEE does not patrol there, my worry is those pirate orgs will be able to pretty much pull an 'eve' and take literal control of space allowing no one through.. Wormhole bottlenecks prove that point in eve online and is a reason many players just gave up with that game.
@@Malakie Malakie Usn well we will have to hope that there are stronger and more dedicated citizen defence orgs than yours then, I suppose. For the system to work, SC devs have to make every profession equally important and profitable... Otherwise, everybody will become a trader or miner or bounty hunter... or the universe will go through "metas" were everybody becomes a miner until Quantum is saturated. And then everybody becomes a trader, and then everybody becomes a bounty hunter..etc
With full persistence, won't CIG lose out on $ from ship buyers? After 3.8 I know I will probably save-up for new ships with aUEC.
thats a really good point
probably one of the reasons, they simply cannot release
afterall how are they going to get income afterwards, while costs are way higher than they are now (server and support wise)
I want the carrack 🥺
Me watching this every few months knowing this is just a dream i see and this is most likely a few years from now on :(
Pyro, Icache, server meshing will not be in the game this year. . 100%
But we are getting close.
Are you guys still working on the game or have you shifted all your work to the roadmap?
Congratulations to the whole team on the 250 mill mark. We the gaming people are with you Chris.
UBI EA ACTIVISION: You're Fired!
at least they (kinda) keep up their promises...
Logbook 2021... still waiting for Pyro... what happend?
Virus thou. It slow down lots of thing . But yea game development should not get impacted that much
Have to wonder..
Law enforcement? When full ai is implemented. Also don't forget there are player made orgs for system/citizen defence too.
Because I know if my org was dedicated to protecting people and semi-serving the UEE, the opportunity to push back pirate orgs and protect the jump point, I would go and do it.
@@CrystalCatchaUK Gonna cost you a LOT of infrastructure, parts, ammo, people and of course credits to pay for it... And with as many large pirate orgs and independent pirates in the game that we have, you won't have time for anything else so good luck with that...
So here we are, 1½ year later and still no pyro ^^
1/2 way thru 2020 and NO Pyro yet!
