I've been a reggae fan for many, many years, & for whatever reason I was late in my appreciation of the Twinkle Bros. I've come to the conclusion that they represent roots reggae at it's finest (IMHO). The reggae beat is important to me, the Twinkle Bros. lay down an unrelenting beat start to finish, they're not trying to appeal to a cross-over crowd, this is pure reggae|
Very envious of anyone who was at that show - the venue looks amazing.

Big respect and honour to the great Norman Grant & the Rasta elders that are still part of the Twinkle Brothers today. This man is a living legend. The great Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Jacob Miller, the list goes on and on.... they all looked up too and admired brother Norman Grant back when they were all just young in the music business.
I think that's a little too much.
Bob Marley recorded his first single in 1962, and Simmer Down (number one hit in Jamaica) released in 1964.
But still I think Twinkle Brothers belongs to the best reggae bands ever. And is the best of todays reggae bands, of people who are still alive.
The Twinkle Brothers were formed in 1962 by brothers Norman and Ralston Grant.

Ras Norman Grant is still sounds fresh as in the early 80s when l first heard of the Legendary Twinkle Brothers ✨. My first Twinkle Brothers' album was Country Man which I still have now. The following albums were Love, Praise Jah, Me No you - You No Me, Kilamanjaro, Underground, Burden Bearer, The Right Way just to name the few but list goes on. Fortunately I attended the Twinkle Brothers show in Johannesburg here in Azania (South Africa 🇿🇦). I still regard the show as one of the Twinkle Brothers performances. 🎼🎤🎛🎚🎙🎸🎸🥁🟥🟨🟩
