I was talking to an ex FFG employee at GenCon and it’s crazy to me how much armada stuff they had planned, including physical product, before they moved to AMG that never saw the light of day. I hope some of it still happens with the help of those who take over in the future
Like many are saying it'd be nice to just get some reprints. I feel like if they've already got the production system figured out they would just be printing money, but probably all they're suppliers have already moved on as well. Oh well 3d print it is. It'd also br nice to have a way of printing out our own official cardboard since that's often whats stopping 3d prints from fully replacing official product
I don’t know, Will seems to be big on bait and switch tactics. Probably going to be a digital obstacle expansion with downloadable destroyed Venator, Arquitens, ISD, and hammerhead corvettes that you can print off yourself and mount on cardboard yourself.
I agree that a comprehensive rule book would be great, along with adjusting and cleaning up some things (like salvoing an ignition attack within salvo range, etc).
It's not going to happen, but I'd love it if the Ocober thing was that they're now selling stls of armada ships. They can keep making money from it without production costs, and we can get more ships.
My only question is: Is there anyone we know who will support X-wing in the future?? I mean to continue printing the ships?? I still would collect a lot but I won't if the products running out of stocks everywhere...😢
I think an updated rulebook is the most likely. I wish it were more but with them closing this chapter of the game I doubt anything more substantive will come out.

Hear me out, buy a huge circular table.....paint it to look like the death star, and use it as a table top to play on. You could even add a mechanic for the laser if you wanted.

I'd love it if they just said they weren't going to be selling pre-painted models. Buying unpainted complete with cardboard and then painting it ourselves would be basically the same as most other models, and let's be honest, these aren't difficult to paint and make them look good.
I'd kill for a pack of the Star Wars Armada Imperial Fighters II. I really wish they'd continue production of what's already there, even if it's just scaled down further from what it was. Failing that they should release files so we can 3d print the Armada stuff.
I don't know where you live, but I was looking for imp fighters 2 and was able to find several copies of it available from LFG shops that I found online. Many of which ship nationally at least. Ended up getting mine from some shop in New york

That is what will happen. They will bring either a change or a version of the game that emphasizes on some shatterpoint mechanics and leave the game at that stage then. Good thing is, the xommunity can just ignore that and keep playing the game as it is now.
I'm not an Armada player, but I wish you all the best with this! From that perspective, I feel like an RRG with rules forum updates and points updates would be a really nice send off from AMG to the community.

The Separatists are still a little empty. A drone controller ship would be useful. Only a few more physical products are needed, then a few additional cards that can be applied to the existing ships. More cards are always a good thing.
A final Up-To-Date Rulebook and some Point updates is really all i want. The game is in a very neat position and its mostly minor points and wonky card textes. No need to make major changes or add stuff that ends up like RR2 Anakin.
I would love to see a (checks notes... not second edition...) "refresh" of the earlier released units and rules similar to what happened to Legion. Points, rules streamlining, and giving some squadrons updated keywords. Also the announcement timing of dropping X-wing and Armada to me felt more like getting ahead of the ministravaganza schedule release.
If selling pre-painted ships was proving difficult to do at the profit levels AMG wanted, why wouldn't AMG just manufacture and sell unpainted ships? The secondary market is doing this now, without the cardboard and cards that you ideally need to play.
I wish we could have gotten a Republic Arquitens before the end. Appreciate the news, but digital/cardboard only doesn't really give me any excitement.
I know physical is probably not going to happen, but if they would an upgrade kit with printed rules and all updated cards would be fantastic, but doubtful. Still excited to get something.
It's a Lucrehulk! 😂 They wanted to go out with a bang, and after producing it they realized how broke it would make them and that's why they ended support! Swan Song Lucrehulk! October is my bday month so that would be perfect.
Would a points update involve a whole round of new cards? Uhy... I haven't organized 2.0 yet now there MAY BE a 3.0... I would hope there are official printable cards for other legend ships or more more support for 3D prints: ie able to introduce vong, pirates or neutral factions.

Did Atomic Mass have a large presence at GenCon? Aren't they just a sub-division of Asmodee? If so, I heard their presence was not very consumer facing.
When they would care about us they would establish like games Workshop did some order on Demand with slightly higher prises and maybe not painted and give everybody a last chance to complete there collection .... The only thing this Community needs the most are reprints when i see to what prices some ships are handled in Ebay
It would really be nice if they tidied things up but don't make any real changes. It's definitely odd to see some of the gaps in the Republic and CIS as I scrambled to pick up all that stuff though I don't really trust them to make something new. Some errata and documents I think are the best case. Maybe some optional missions since they love those, but things in addition. At least with the game going out of production though, if they do change anything big no one will bother with it. I can't imagine there will be any AMG purists anywhere.

Awhile back Shick said the factions were not at a ship count parity in an interview and that that seemed like the next goal. My money is on you get the RR version of a ship that isn't made and you can 3D print or proxy your own. And it'll probably be a bunch of terrible design too

Shame people bought up all the Armada stock to resell at ludicrous prices, you know because you wouldn't want new players.
No joke....I've been trying to complete my fleets and prices are quite high.
I failed to get my Venator and to get one now is over $300. I will never be able to get my Armada Venator.
3d printing one and painting it yourself is the best option

Republic Arquitens and limited Rebel Quasar Fire are probably the lowest hanging fruit for a RR3.

New space game but the ships are all 25 percent bigger and use a new base.
If it is points change, what is everybody thinking they might be? More tinkering with the Onagers? SSD changes? Etc?

Im thinking some official print and play support. Probably a points rebalance and maybe a RR 3. Thiugh the combined rulebook would be nice.
