I'm not really well informed on these decks so if I've understood everything these decks are not legal for tournament play out of the box, but if I take some cards and use those cards to build another deck would that be okay or is it still not allowed for tournaments? Not that i'm looking forward to starting in person events anytime soon but i would like to understand this fully
All of the F block cards in these decks will be rotated out of Standard format by the time they come out. You’d have to remove those and build around the remaining cards.
@@Ensco17 So it's basically the same thing as the League battle decks who often have older cards who soon rotate out. Thanks for the information anyways
Hey man! So I just looked it up and thr world championship deck cards look different on the back than normal cards. Which makes them stand out and hence illegal at tourneys. Such a bummer :(
Oh boy it's time for another Miraidon deck to add to the Miraidon deck collection! In all seriousness it's great to see Jesse's deck get love. Great choices for the World Championship decks.

If buying these for family play, which 2 do you think are most balanced against each other? And if you wanted to give a player a handicap would Miraidon vs Iron Thornes be a good matchup?
I referenced the matchup data from Limitless from that era of the game. play.limitlesstcg.com/decks?rotation=2024&set=SFA Regidrago Vs. Iron Thorns (44.4%) Vs. Miraidon (44.7%) Vs. Ancient Box (44.1%) Iron Thorns Vs. Regidrago (54.31%) Vs. Miraidon (52.9%) Vs. Ancient Box (26.5%) Miraidon Vs. Regidrago (55.0%) Vs. Iron Thorns (45.6%) Vs. Ancient Box (44.1%) Ancient Box Vs. Regidrago (53.8%) Vs. Iron Thorns (72.4%) Vs. Miraidon (54.1%) Regidrago doesn’t match up well against the other 3. This actually makes sense, as Regidrago was one of the big decks at the time and the other 3 are specific counters to it. Weirdly, the closest matchup is Iron Thorns vs. Miraidon. I can see how Miraidon wins, but it’s absolutely awful to play as Miraidon. Regidrago has an even worse time into Iron Thorns because Iron Thorns’ ability basically shuts off the entire Regidrago deck. On the other end, Iron Thorns gets absolutely destroyed by Ancient Box I would personally avoid Iron Thorns in this specific context because all of its matchups are too lopsided. I think some combination of the other 3 would be best.
Need to state that every time these come up in conversation because it can be confusing. And I’m certain I’ll still get angry comments months from now from people who bought these without knowing that they aren’t legal.
World Championship decks aren’t legal for in-person play, not do they give owners access to the deck in Live. Unless you actively accept an in-person matchup with someone using it, it won’t impact anything.
That awkward moment where it might actually be cheaper to build Quad Thorns raw than it is to buy the Championship Deck of Quad Thorns
i have the most chill locals so i can use these decks which will be fun
They're not legal decks to play with
@@edwarddaignault5243that's why they say they're chill.
@@edwarddaignault5243yeah, they're saying it'll probably be allowed at their locals

Friendly reminder that any card inside these world champion decks are not legal for tournament play due to them having a diferent background.

I'm with you on this! Very curious to learn more as I'd like to modify one of these decks and enter local tourneys.

Welcome home Iron Thorns
Hey, awesome video, do someone know if these products only sell in the US? Because im from Brazil, but really wanted one
These products are available outside of the US. However, I’ve heard from many commenters from Brazil that getting Pokemon products there is an issue.
IS there a way to get the deck recipes for PCGL?
