This episode was sooo ahead of its time. Jesus this stuff we fight about today. Can’t use pronouns, everything has to be misconstrued as racist to the point real racism gets overshadowed and ignored. What's so eerie is that you could literally do this exact episode almost the exact same way except the reporter would be using Social Media to slam Becker. This episode is as relevant today as it was then and honestly needs to be viewed now by most of the self serving reporter types to hopefully see the error of their ways.

Not at all. Political correctness is a horrible concept. Was from day one. As soon as you give secular society the power to determine what we should and shouldn't say based on its own arbitrary moral standard, you end up where we are now with cancel culture. The leftist virtue signalers who haven't accomplished a damn thing in their life use it as an excuse to act like they're fighting racism, sexism, whatever. In reality, it's just another meaningless participation trophy requiring no real effort on their part.

@@aljirou29 It's not just a issue with the left, it happened too with the right. This is about media spinning what someone said and put it onto their own agenda. And both side, Left or Right have their own agenda.
Problem is today, people are more easily enticed or sway by social media, and then without thinking on the other side of the issue and just follow the mob and say the other side is bad, this generation and the last do not understand the concept of taking the middle road or compromise. And media don't get like, follow or viewer for being in the middle, which is ironic considering a lot of American are centrist or a centrist leaning left or right like me (I am center right by the way).
Take the infrastructure bill that just passed the congress as an example, it wasn't started by Biden, nor Trump, it started way back with Obama back in 2010, in the next 11 years, we all know our infrastructures are going to shit, the road is not getting fixed, troll booth broken, railway infrastructure broken, and yet no one seems to be able to pass the bill. And you want to know why the bill did not get pass the congress in the last 11 years as infrastructure broken down all around us? The answer is simple, they don't want the other party win. We gave up our infrastructure, education, internet because of our political preference. Once upon a time when congress would seek comprises and get things done, those were the time that's long gone

If you mean the actor, then yes, I agree, he is a wonderful actor that deserves more recognition. If you mean the type of people that exist in real life which he's portraying with his character, then I disagree. That is what a toxic person is - spends more time dwelling on the terms being used, and political correctness in general, asking for progress while constantly obstructing it... rather than trying to think what a person means at heart, not on the surface. People that do the former become the type of person they ask others not to be. If you disagree with me, you're allowed to, but shaming someone when you think you know the whole story behind what they said, instead of disagreeing and moving on, that creates more problems in this world than you can ever hope to fix. And one final note, change has never happened by force, it has always happened indirectly by our actions. So asking someone to change is counter-progressive. So is cancel culture. Cancel culture cancels any hope that a person will mature. Too many people say toxic when really they mean ignorant. You might win a fight with blunt force but you'll never win an argument. If you want to convince someone, try using your brain. And that is exactly what Becker did with the reporter, and that is why he won the feud. Notice, he didn't ask for the reporter to get fired, he simply stated the truth as he saw it, and let people decide for themselves what side to take. And now the reporter has some thinking to do about the ignorant things he has said.
