  • A wave of unrest has rocked Iran since the death of 22-year-old Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini on September 16 following her arrest by Tehran's morality police for reportedly not observing Iran's strict dress code. The protest movement, which has spread to other cities in the country, has led to the deaths of dozens of people, mostly protesters but also members of the security forces. Among Iranian women protesting in recent nights, many are proud of not only playing what they say is a key role -- but that men are following in their footsteps.

Iran needed to go through this, it's been a massively important lesson in understanding what must be done. Islam will be removed. Mosque will be transformed into public toilets.

Please don't show the faces of these women. Blur it ... Not because they should Not be Known, but because they should Not be identified by the wrong people. World should know what is happening, but they should Not suffer for that 🙏

The level of protests is so widespread that security forces don't have the capacity to deal with simple things like people talking to the media! In fact the Iranian celebrities openly support the uprising!

I agree with your comment. What I don’t understand is why she just wasn’t told to adjust her hijab! Why haul her to the police station, beat her and torture her to the point of death?!!! Do these “morality police” get off in beating defenceless women for the slightest dress code infraction?? How “moral” is it in the Islam faith to kill another human being?? I just can’t get my brain wrapped around such hypocrisy!!
