The split screen mode is definitely the best update! I only can Imagine how much fun Wreckfest would have been with another friend on the couch. But all the improvements sound amazing! Especially the advanced customization

there is no splitscreen. it says single player and 24 online player.

Wreckfest is the only game that I have ever bought multiple copies of. It is my favorite game of all time. Super stoked about all I am hearing with this new iteration. I'm especially intrigued by new customization system. It must be pretty deep if they are adding in the option of sharing your creations with others in the community. I'm hoping there will be a livery system similar to the Forza games, where designs are only limited by your creativity. My favorite part of any Forza game is buying a car and then immediately seeing what kind of paint jobs are available. Now combine that with armor pieces and other cosmetic options! Super excited to see how the damage model has been rebuilt, and the new tracks they have in store for us!!! Splitscreen is a gamechanger!! Only negative I see is that because there is no release date, we could be waiting a year of more for this masterpiece!!!!
Yeah it's sounding like a huge upgrade from the first one! But yup, seems like it'll be similar to how Forza does sharing which is going to be fantastic. Hopefully not too long of wait! 😁
I love wreckfest. It really reminds me of the earlier games. It doesn’t feel like most games nowadays being all money grabs, it feels like the devs actually do what people want etc. I hope 2 feels the same.

I'm hoping for deformable track surfaces on dirt surfaces, it's been done before in racing games but it would add a whole new dimension to long races.

I'm still playing Wreckfest. My only gripe about the game is the DOOMRIG not getting the same durability as the Battle Bus, the one with the snow plow. That plow made racing and derbies much more survivable. I backed this game on Steam during development and some old maps from the Flatout series made it in this game. There wasn't a way to find out the top speed of every vehicle except for maybe one open level reserved for demolition derbies and damage challenges. There is the Steam Workshop which had one drag map.
I didn't care for the trailer dialogue. It could have been done better.

As far as detail in the pictures, I love the bungee cord on the front of the Rocket.
I spend a lot of time on customization in my other games. I'm really looking forward to that in Wreckfest.

I hope we see multiple weathers/time of day, cars that can be fully restored and possibly destructible environment (small buildings, deforming tracks, and maybe fluid leaks from the cars)

Please please please tell me were getting the windsheild launching events as side events in career. I miss darts, high jump, and the darts!
Or atleast a flatout tribute with these types of events. Flatout 2 was the greatest game of my child hood by far. Long live frank malkov !!!
Definitely would love to see the full mini game modes return from Flatout! So much fun had!

You can drive any car you want, as long as it's a '69 mustang.

Hopefully a fair and balanced game again, without the likes of the preformance of Hammerhead RS and Raiden and a massive singleplayer part + an updated and expanded tournament part. Online and crashing and stuff are just bonus. Heh. I'm so stoked for more Wreckfest!

This is the kind of game that begs for a map maker. let players design their own courses and put them online for others to enjoy. Give them the option of point-to-point, nascar like or open. Along with a bunch of race modifiers and time of day/ weather options… including real-time accelerated time of day and multiple weather choices per race(meaning, cloudy, then rain or snow, then clear or whatever the player chooses.
There could be so many endless possibilities and more added for DLC.
Definitely some great ideas! We shall see what's coming!

I'm hoping that people that have the game pass version and steam version can actually play together and server creation for multi-player is so much easier.
I'd imagine it'll all be easier and more streamlined in the new one since they just made it possible for Epic/Steam/GOG players to play together a few months ago!

@@CowTown the main thing I praise wreckfest for is how the metal dents and in the wreckfest 2 trailer it dents beautifully, but on on of the images it looks like the engine is clipping out of the car which I don’t really like
I really hope that they didn’t touch the driving physics too much, they are absolutely amazing
I believe it was said that handling won't be tweaked much! Most of the new focus was put into the damage side of things!
I just hope the hood-quarter panels-bumper-grill and radiator don’t all fly off the car after 2 smashes. In real derbies most mangled parts stay…sorta attached.
It’s silly having every downed car be a bare burning engine on a chassis frame.
It seems we’re getting to a much more realistic engine this time around!
I hope they fixed the wheel support for playstation. It would always randomly change camera angles while I was driving…so annoying
i just hope for peer to peer multiplayer im sick of wreckfests lack of multiplayer options in terms of hosting a private game
I'm sure that Online is improved across the board as in the description it says "Take it online and enjoy quick to find and smooth online races" 🙂
