- Since Caledonia Best's first TV advert aired across Scotland in December 2012, we've had an overwhelming response to its soundtrack featuring Anderson, McGinty, Webster, Ward and Fisher's new version of Dougie MacLean's Caledonia. MacLean himself is also a fan of the rising Scottish band's fresh and vibrant interpretation of his hugely popular hit, so we brought the artists together for an exclusive collaboration on this much-loved classic.
Discover what happened when the legendary singer-songwriter and the hotly-tipped Dundee five-piece united for a recording session at MacLean's home in the Perthshire countryside, presented by Caledonia Best.

I'm Irish I've only ever met one Scottish man in tenerife about 6 years ago he had a bald head built like a bull tattooed from head to toe. He walked straight up to me and my girlfriend and ask where we were from when I told him Ireland he wrapped his arm around my neck pulled me into his chest and shouted in my ear we're f##king celts boy don't you forget it. I had the best week with that man every time he met us out he was an absolute gentleman. Moral is never judge a book by the cover and Scottish and Irish people are not that far apart in our culture and values
Caledonia by Dougie MacClean was my father"s favorite songs. We would often listen to Caledonia while we shared a dram, sailing the Great Lakes in the USA. He was a proud Scot by birth. Slainte mhath! Thank you Mr. MacClean for this song.
Dougie MacLean is so very generous with this very wonderful love song to Scotland.
Now 65, left 41 years ago, no matter which passport I have I'm Scottish.

I think sometimes you forget where you come from, and what shapes your outlook in life. I've travelled and I've seen different ways of life and cultures, and while I think they all are awesome in their own different ways, and they can all influence your vision of life, sometimes what's best in you is staring you right in the face. That's because it comes from the country that makes you, you! I will always travel far from home, however what I am is because I am Scottish, and Scotland I thank you! This song reminds me of who I am and Mr McLean, I thank you!

This is not the version used in the actual advert (I know this is the original by Dougie McLean). Where can I find the version used in the advert which is played in a different key and has the violins through the chorus?
