I took a peek and judging from the video it sounds like it's using something similar that Sega Genesis used, where the tracker doesn't use imported instruments like the SNES does, but rather relies more on onboard waveform instruments that you need to separately modify to get the sound you want, similar to how NES does it's music tracks.
@@Jac2Mac Someone actually did make a generic mega drive/genesis soundfont that I've been exploring a bit, so maybe in the far future, though there already exists one piece like that on youtube.
As good as Mandrill's theme is,Gravity Beetle's challenges it for the title. It's a close one if you ask me.
