I agree that majin sonic is so cool. Hes just here for the vibes. He doesn't bring down your health, have any special notes or have a wacky mechanic. I think he try's to help BF and is more of an ally then a foe.

The rings stop your bar from moving down when missing notes because of how long the song was. If you feel confident you won't miss alot of notes than the rings are unnecessary, also sonic takes away all your rings.

Divide is first person who created sprites for sonic.exe (or ver 1),That's why in the moment "I'm gonna getcha" You can clearly see it's not like sprites. But sadly , Divide died by unknown reasons or that information is private . Anyways Rest in peace Divide.
Divide actually had some health problems and the devs team got worried but divide I think tweeted saying he was fine but then a few days later he died.

From what I’m aware of, Divide was an artist working on the mod who passed away before it was completed. According to tweet, he was the one who worked on Faker. It’s unknown how he passed. May you rest in peace, Divide. You may be gone, but you won’t be forgotten for the amazing work you did.
Faker could be the best song in the mod in my opinion next to triple trouble and chaos. I really appreciate the work he did, the sprites are really good. Rest in peace.
"Triple Trouble" is just the Sonic.exe creepypasta sprites of the characters Sonic.exe killed (Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman). "Cycles" is basically a remastered version of Execution. "Endless" (as hopefully everyone has already seen) is a reference to "Majin Sonic" a name given to the disturbing Sonic CD easter egg of "Fun is Infinite With Sega Enterprises. Signed Majin." (Which means devil) with the creepy US version boss theme playing in the background. The JP version is more used as a joke because of the that version's boss theme. "Sunshine" is a reference to the "Tails Doll" creepypasta from Sonic R along with song "Can You Feel the Sunshine" which you heard during the "dark part". "Chaos" is a reference to Fleetway Super Sonic from the UK comics (Also called the Fleetway comics) where Sonic's super form literally turns him into a demon with the power of the "Chaos Emeralds" corrupting his brain. "Faker" is a reference to another version of Sonic.exe by Revie. I think this one LOOKS like Sonic, but transforms in a whole new horrific way by the end (Just like you see later on in "Black Sun"). "Milk" is a reference to Sunky.mpeg, a parody of Sonic.exe "Too Fest" is a reference to a parody of Sonic.exe named "Sanic", but here he's designed to parody Sonic.exe as "Sanic.exe". He's VERY meme-y, that's why he holds weed and MLG guns. An "earrape" version of Green Hill Zone edited to sound "creepy" (By making it stutter all weird) is playing in the background.

So the things that are actually new already in the first "week" (aka the first song, Too Slow), since you were wondering ~ : - More fluent/smoother animations, polished and updated sprites, even for the first cutscene before the Too Slow song, and the cutscene after Too Slow where the original week would end (before this update) and that now leads to You Can't Run's cutscene. All of it, remastered and polished - Sonic's eyes are updated. Especially seen in the phase-transition where he does the Kefka Laugh (2:36) and during the left (purple) notes - The blood splatters/droplets when you hit the perfect notes just like you mentioned - The phase-transition cutscene where he is supposed to declare himself "a god" is new (obviously)... and also bugged actually, it is supposed to play that audio but it doesn't always do that (3:35) - The game over music has been changed universally (aka this song is present in most of the game over screens. In the previous version of this mod, the game over music was a remix of the iconic creepypasta-material: Sonic CD's game over theme USA-soundtrack's version), even in the first "week". It is now a remix of Sonic the Hedgehog 1's Title Screen Theme (and ironically enough that same game's game over theme is a remixed version of that title screen theme :D So, it also sort of fits in a meta-way as a reference as well, no matter how intentional or unintentional that correlation/connection may have been) So, there are already a lot of changes in the first "week" alone! :D
the cutscene audio doesn't play because nenaa missed a note before the cutscene, and because sonic.exe's speech is part of the Voices.ogg, it isn't present
Poor Divide. Faker was one of my favorites from this mod. Divide made a beautiful piece of art and his art was amazing! Although he still isn’t here any longer, his work will still be favorited.

the new sonic.exe in phase 3 is also the new canonical form of sonic.exe called "xenophanes" since the old idea for his design was kinda tainted by the reveal of the original author, J.C The Hyena, being a child predator to a certain degree (at least to the point where he can be classified as a pedo) so sonic.exe had their ownership transferred to someone else (dont know them I just know this happened) and they made xenophanes as a replacement design for him.

I also appreciate how you found the random codes/sound tests. I love them! They cure the scary after playing through those! I'd say my favorites out of all them are: "YES!...KILL!" "GIVE ME BACK MY MILK!" "Harvest or rescue" "Look sunky I'm in the flippin' game!" These modders really know how to say "no more scary" without even saying "no more scary."

Fun fact: when you have a ring(s) and you miss, your health doesn't drain, so you really don't have to collect the rings unless you want to, and if you have no rings, its basically the normal game functions

If you wanna play another spooky FNF mod, I recommend Monday Dusk Monolith. It isn't as gamechanging as this mod, but it's a spoopy reskin and remix of the original songs with a few new songs added in week 2. It's got a beginning cutscene and some dialogue too. It doesn't have all weeks done yet though, only the first 4 (tutorial included). Also, make sure to die a few times at week 2's last song, the Lemon Demon might have exactly 10 things to say!
I thought that was awesome that it was less scary too. I not sure if it was done on purpose, but i just learn that the hapanese version of sonic CD " fun is infinate screen." Is a lost more pleasant music.
not sure if ya figured it out but the rings are for when ya miss notes they take the dmg for ya (like in the game, you dont die or take dmg till you lose all the rings), ya also dont wanna miss any notes generally, keep your combos amd collect the rings, so that whenever ya do miss ya dont lose your steam.
No, he only did the freeplay art to my knowledge, as well as a few animations in the sound test (I think most notably he made the "yes kill!" animation.) I believe everything marked in gold in the sound test reveal is tied to divide to some capacity.

I LOVE and THANK YOU for playing the Sonic.exe FNF mod update 2.0, Nenaa.💗😊 I already so Love this update already and became one of my top most favourite mods ever.😅 The animations are more updated, smoother and done in a unique creative way. They also added many details, references, secrets, songs and new great characters. The blood really splatters when you hit perfect, just as you said, Nenaa and they seemingly changed Sonic.exe's eye color in Too Slow during his poses. 3:35 - The audio got muted though cause you missed a note exactly before the mini-cutscene, like a glitch. That's what I think. I love the way Sonic.exe did that, though. 5:25 - You can't run is already a reference to Knuckles's level in the OG Sonic.exe game (You Can't Run). Funny that the song is also the second one/act in this mod. Love this song though, a mix of fast metal and remixed drowning theme and GHZ song. 6:20 - I really love how everything transitioned into the classic 16-bit Green Hill Zone from the first Sonic Game in 1991. The Shadow Notes drains your health bar, instead. The more you hit them, the faster your health bar drains throughout the song. 8:42 - Triple Trouble is like an awesome boss battle with Sonic.exe and I really love it.💗 There is actually a Sonic Game in the Game Gear (Classic one) which has the title Triple Trouble. I Forgot when is that though. Though, in this song, you are fighting Sonic.exe's beastly form known as Xenophanes (NOT Cellophanes!). Xenophanes is a deity-like representation of Sonic.exe created by ASTRAMONICONX, the current/present owner and "creator" of Sonic.exe, which they're already writing a new canon to the story. The OG and true creator of Sonic.exe is JC the Hyena though. The rings stop your health baw from going down whenever you miss but will take one ring per miss. A reference to the Sonic Games where the rings prevent you from dying or damage. I love the fact that you also fight Tails.exe, Knuckles.exe and Eggman.exe in a rap battle.💗 (They are killed by Sonic.exe, as seen in Too Slow but revived as Sonic.exe's slaves and to fight you too) They're songs share some leitmotifs w/ the Sonic Games: Tails.exe - Chemical Plant Zone (Sonic 2 - 1992) Knuckles.exe - Unknown from M.E. (Sonic Adventure - 1998) Eggman.exe - Eggman's Boss Theme (Sonic 2 - 1992) I like how they added Eggman's laugh but deeper too. His brain though........ Fun Fact: Triple Trouble has a total of 64 Rings. 17:42 - Cycles is a completely remixed and revamped version of Execution, w/ some added features. The background looks more upgraded, creepier, grotesque and more similar to its game version. I like the "We're not Knuckles" sign though, since many people thought that red plant is Knuckles in the V.1.0. I also like Lord X's new look too, a lot more awesome yet creepier. His poses too are really cool for me. * One of his pose where he seemingly points to boyfriend and acting like "look at this guy!" with a smug face. * Others include 3 Skeletal Hands coming out from his mouth, acting like a Gentleman singing and offering his hand in some way and a goofey face, seemingly surprised or mocking. Fun Fact: Lord X has a total of 5 voice lines. The fifth one is a high pitched sound effect, that when you put it into a spectogram, it shows Lord X hanging BF w/ strings, like a puppet. He is also very aware of you, playing the mod. 20:10 - Endless background is also upgraded and the Majins are seemingly multiplied. BF is now appropriately in purple hue, since the forest's motif is purple. Actually, Majin Sonic never killed anyone or anything at all. He just want INFINITE FUN.😉 He is from the Sonic CD's Sound Test Easter Egg, The "Fun is Infinite" one, associated with the US Boss Theme of the Game. Fun Fact: Majin Sonic is created and included by Masato Nishimura, landscape desinger and boice of Sonic in Sonic CD (1993) and who Majin's face was meant to resemble. Majin is also the alias of Masato. 23:01 - Sunshine is a reference to the Sonic R game and also the game's theme song. Tails Doll ("Project Deadly Cuddles") is a secret unlockable (and creepy) character from the same game where he is seen standing in that same area with the red and white checkered floor and dark background, with the "Can you Feel the Sunshine" song playing. This spawned many lores and had his own Creepypasta about him, a factor on the Game over screen during TD's section. The Tails Doll Creator is Unknown, though. I love how they kept the 3D art style, animations and screen of the Sonic R game to that song. Feels so Nostalgic and Good to me. 26:33 - That's Fleetway Sonic or Fleetway Super Sonic. He originated from the Sonic The Comic, a British comic published by Fleetway Editions. When Sonic is exposed to Chaos Energy (by the Chaos Emeralds) or put under extreme stress, Fleetway will manifest. He is a violent, sadistic, malicious and a blood hungry entity that enjoys nothing but to kill and destroy. I like how he acts like Tankman during the song and whenever the Game Over Screen Activates. He has a total of 11 voice lines and whenever he does that F-Finger, I find it funny and a bit cool though, showing how malevolent he is. Fun Fact: The pig that can be seen watching the battle is Porker Lewis. Fun Fact 2: His transformation cutscene is a reference to the "Running Wild, Part 1" from the Issue 80 of Sonic the Comic. 29:49 - Faker........ Another version of Sonic.exe by this mod's director, Revie (mod director - revie_03). His own version of Sonic.exe, simply called EXE. He is similar to the OG Sonic.exe but more malevolent and twisted. The way he transformed into his other form is really disturbing and creepy in some ways. His second form (weirdly tall!) is also very creepy and shows how a monster he is. There's no reviving in Black Sun and hitting notes no longer effects health directly, changing the intensity of the health drain, instead. Hitting a note will slightly reduce the damage over time, while missing will significantly boost the health drain. Missing 10 notes and above will ensure you an inevitable fast drain, leading to the Game Over screen (and a jumpscare when you wait longer). Permanent damger right? And I think the Ring Mechanic is useful here. I love the song and EXE's design though. The rings stop your bar from moving down when missing notes because of how long the song was. If you feel confident you won't miss alot of notes than the rings are unnecessary, also sonic takes away all your rings.

From what I’m aware of, Divide was an artist working on the mod who passed away before it was completed. According to tweet, he was the one who worked on Faker. It’s unknown how he passed.

"Triple Trouble" is just the Sonic.exe creepypasta sprites of the characters Sonic.exe killed (Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman).
"Cycles" is basically a remastered version of Execution.
"Endless" (as hopefully everyone has already seen) is a reference to "Majin Sonic" a name given to the disturbing Sonic CD easter egg of "Fun is Infinite With Sega Enterprises. Signed Majin." (Which means devil) with the creepy US version boss theme playing in the background. The JP version is more used as a joke because of the that version's boss theme.
"Sunshine" is a reference to the "Tails Doll" creepypasta from Sonic R along with song "Can You Feel the Sunshine" which you heard during the "dark part".
"Chaos" is a reference to Fleetway Super Sonic from the UK comics (Also called the Fleetway comics) where Sonic's super form literally turns him into a demon with the power of the "Chaos Emeralds" corrupting his brain.
"Faker" is a reference to another version of Sonic.exe by Revie. I think this one LOOKS like Sonic, but transforms in a whole new horrific way by the end (Just like you see later on in "Black Sun").
"Milk" is a reference to Sunky.mpeg, a parody of Sonic.exe
"Too Fest" is a reference to a parody of Sonic.exe named "Sanic", but here he's designed to parody Sonic.exe as "Sanic.exe". He's VERY meme-y, that's why he holds weed and MLG guns. An "earrape" version of Green Hill Zone edited to sound "creepy" (By making it stutter all weird) is playing in the background.

So the things that are actually new already in the first "week" (aka the first song, Too Slow), since you were wondering ~ :
- More fluent/smoother animations, polished and updated sprites, even for the first cutscene before the Too Slow song, and the cutscene after Too Slow where the original week would end (before this update) and that now leads to You Can't Run's cutscene. All of it, remastered and polished
- Sonic's eyes are updated. Especially seen in the phase-transition where he does the Kefka Laugh (2:36) and during the left (purple) notes
- The blood splatters/droplets when you hit the perfect notes just like you mentioned
- The phase-transition cutscene where he is supposed to declare himself "a god" is new (obviously)... and also bugged actually, it is supposed to play that audio but it doesn't always do that (3:35)
- The game over music has been changed universally (aka this song is present in most of the game over screens. In the previous version of this mod, the game over music was a remix of the iconic creepypasta-material: Sonic CD's game over theme USA-soundtrack's version), even in the first "week". It is now a remix of Sonic the Hedgehog 1's Title Screen Theme (and ironically enough that same game's game over theme is a remixed version of that title screen theme :D So, it also sort of fits in a meta-way as a reference as well, no matter how intentional or unintentional that correlation/connection may have been)
So, there are already a lot of changes in the first "week" alone! :D
the cutscene audio doesn't play because nenaa missed a note before the cutscene, and because sonic.exe's speech is part of the Voices.ogg, it isn't present

If you wanna play another spooky FNF mod, I recommend Monday Dusk Monolith. It isn't as gamechanging as this mod, but it's a spoopy reskin and remix of the original songs with a few new songs added in week 2. It's got a beginning cutscene and some dialogue too. It doesn't have all weeks done yet though, only the first 4 (tutorial included).
Also, make sure to die a few times at week 2's last song, the Lemon Demon might have exactly 10 things to say!

not sure if ya figured it out but the rings are for when ya miss notes they take the dmg for ya (like in the game, you dont die or take dmg till you lose all the rings), ya also dont wanna miss any notes generally, keep your combos amd collect the rings, so that whenever ya do miss ya dont lose your steam.

Fun fact: Majin sonic or (endless sonic for those who don’t know him) is a secret drawing that u can find in sonic CD menu People have confused the name Majin with… him but actually is one of the staff members of the sonic team, also the fandom has created a role for him witch is the protector of sonic mind

I already so Love this update already and became one of my top most favourite mods ever.😅
The animations are more updated, smoother and done in a unique creative way. They also added many details, references, secrets, songs and new great characters.
The blood really splatters when you hit perfect, just as you said, Nenaa and they seemingly changed Sonic.exe's eye color in Too Slow during his poses.
3:35 - The audio got muted though cause you missed a note exactly before the mini-cutscene, like a glitch. That's what I think.
I love the way Sonic.exe did that, though.
5:25 - You can't run is already a reference to Knuckles's level in the OG Sonic.exe game (You Can't Run).
Funny that the song is also the second one/act in this mod.
Love this song though, a mix of fast metal and remixed drowning theme and GHZ song.
6:20 - I really love how everything transitioned into the classic 16-bit Green Hill Zone from the first Sonic Game in 1991.
The Shadow Notes drains your health bar, instead. The more you hit them, the faster your health bar drains throughout the song.
8:42 - Triple Trouble is like an awesome boss battle with Sonic.exe and I really love it.💗
There is actually a Sonic Game in the Game Gear (Classic one) which has the title Triple Trouble. I Forgot when is that though.
Though, in this song, you are fighting Sonic.exe's beastly form known as Xenophanes (NOT Cellophanes!). Xenophanes is a deity-like representation of Sonic.exe created by ASTRAMONICONX, the current/present owner and "creator" of Sonic.exe, which they're already writing a new canon to the story.
The OG and true creator of Sonic.exe is JC the Hyena though.
The rings stop your health baw from going down whenever you miss but will take one ring per miss.
A reference to the Sonic Games where the rings prevent you from dying or damage.
I love the fact that you also fight Tails.exe, Knuckles.exe and Eggman.exe in a rap battle.💗
(They are killed by Sonic.exe, as seen in Too Slow but revived as Sonic.exe's slaves and to fight you too)

17:42 - Cycles is a completely remixed and revamped version of Execution, w/ some added features. The background looks more upgraded, creepier, grotesque and more similar to its game version. I like the "We're not Knuckles" sign though, since many people thought that red plant is Knuckles in the V.1.0.
I also like Lord X's new look too, a lot more awesome yet creepier. His poses too are really cool for me.
* One of his pose where he seemingly points to boyfriend and acting like "look at this guy!" with a smug face.
* Others include 3 Skeletal Hands coming out from his mouth, acting like a Gentleman singing and offering his hand in some way and a goofey face, seemingly surprised or mocking.
Fun Fact: Lord X has a total of 5 voice lines. The fifth one is a high pitched sound effect, that when you put it into a spectogram, it shows Lord X hanging BF w/ strings, like a puppet. He is also very aware of you, playing the mod.
20:10 - Endless background is also upgraded and the Majins are seemingly multiplied. BF is now appropriately in purple hue, since the forest's motif is purple.
Actually, Majin Sonic never killed anyone or anything at all. He just want INFINITE FUN.😉
He is from the Sonic CD's Sound Test Easter Egg, The "Fun is Infinite" one, associated with the US Boss Theme of the Game.
Fun Fact: Majin Sonic is created and included by Masato Nishimura, landscape desinger and boice of Sonic in Sonic CD (1993) and who Majin's face was meant to resemble.
Majin is also the alias of Masato.
23:01 - Sunshine is a reference to the Sonic R game and also the game's theme song. Tails Doll ("Project Deadly Cuddles") is a secret unlockable (and creepy) character from the same game where he is seen standing in that same area with the red and white checkered floor and dark background, with the "Can you Feel the Sunshine" song playing.
This spawned many lores and had his own Creepypasta about him, a factor on the Game over screen during TD's section. The Tails Doll Creator is Unknown, though.
I love how they kept the 3D art style, animations and screen of the Sonic R game to that song. Feels so Nostalgic and Good to me.
26:33 - That's Fleetway Sonic or Fleetway Super Sonic. He originated from the Sonic The Comic, a British comic published by Fleetway Editions. When Sonic is exposed to Chaos Energy (by the Chaos Emeralds) or put under extreme stress, Fleetway will manifest.
He is a violent, sadistic, malicious and a blood hungry entity that enjoys nothing but to kill and destroy.
I like how he acts like Tankman during the song and whenever the Game Over Screen Activates. He has a total of 11 voice lines and whenever he does that F-Finger, I find it funny and a bit cool though, showing how malevolent he is.
Fun Fact: The pig that can be seen watching the battle is Porker Lewis.
Fun Fact 2: His transformation cutscene is a reference to the "Running Wild, Part 1" from the Issue 80 of Sonic the Comic.
29:49 - Faker........
Another version of Sonic.exe by this mod's director, Revie (mod director - revie_03).
His own version of Sonic.exe, simply called EXE.
He is similar to the OG Sonic.exe but more malevolent and twisted.
The way he transformed into his other form is really disturbing and creepy in some ways. His second form (weirdly tall!) is also very creepy and shows how a monster he is.
There's no reviving in Black Sun and hitting notes no longer effects health directly, changing the intensity of the health drain, instead. Hitting a note will slightly reduce the damage over time, while missing will significantly boost the health drain. Missing 10 notes and above will ensure you an inevitable fast drain, leading to the Game Over screen (and a jumpscare when you wait longer). Permanent damger right? And I think the Ring Mechanic is useful here.
I love the song and EXE's design though.
Wonder if there's gonna be a lore about him.
35:01 - Divide is one of the artists working on the mod but passed away in some unknown reasons. He is also the one who worked on the Faker part (maybe also the Black Sun??)

40:00 Too Fest (literally) has Sanic.exe, an exe version of Sanic, a poorly drawn Sonic which became a famous meme. He is adapted in MLG Meme Culture (the reason of the guns and the freakin Marijuana he weilds) and got featured in some of the Official Sonic The Hedgehog Channel's Videos and even in the Sonic Movie (2020).
The earrape version of the GHZ Soundtrack is also heard in the background throughout the song.
Fun Fact: Sanic.exe's right pose shows him holding the Scattergun , where Sanic would replace Scout in the Team Fortress 2 game
